Excellent accommodation in Marburg. Well located between the Aldstadt and the Hauptbahnhof close to Elizabethkirchen. This charming pension is spotless, friendly and comfortable. The delicious typical breakfast consists of bread, meats, cheese yoghurt, cereal and a boiled egg with excellent coffee. The bed is comfortable and the shower hot. We stayed in a very small room in the attic for... More

Stayed in the double room for two weeks. Do not expect modern facilities. Everything is antique, which could be nice, but I prefer modern comforts. For example, the bathtub is impressively huge, but is useless without a stopper. The bathroom has 3 largish padded chairs, for no reason. Probably the owners ran out of space to store antiques. I cannot... More

I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It so rich in tradition and one example that gives a complete picture is a perfectly working analog telephone placed by the window! Just to add one more: the keys to your door and to the front door. So surreal! Since I'm on a business trip, I spent the whole day with a collaborator... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my three day stay at Pension Mueller for three days while visiting my son, who is studying at the local University. The Pension has the best of old world/German charm and modern day service. The rooms are clean and the service first rate. Herr Mueller is solicitous and ready to please. He and wife present a combination... More

During our trip through Germany last April we stopped in Marburg as my cousin resides there as she recommended this Pension, having stayed there a few times before. This location is very quiet and resembled an old office building. In fact, there is a business located on the main floor. The Pension itself is located on the second floor and... More

Simply put, the Pension Haus Müller is the most beautifully furnished room we have ever stayed in. And for what it’s worth, roomy, too. And a terrace overlooking the canal. Truly outstanding. The owner was very nice, but speaks almost no English. I have my 40-years’ ago high school German, but I remember sufficient basics to get by. The Pension... More

We've just returned from staying two nights at Haus Müller and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our room was spic & span clean; the breakfast perfectly adequate, with fresh brotchen, yogurt, orange juice, meat and cheeses, tea and great coffee. The host is a bit "quirky", but warm and inviting. Nights are quiet in the Haus and the surrounding neighborhood. We had... More

Definitely adds to the old world feel that Marburg has anyway. Old fashioned in many ways, from the building to the rooms and furniture, to the service - but that's a compliment. Location is ideal, just a minute from the Elisabethkirche and a half hour walk up to the Schloss. It's also just 10 mins walk to the train station,... More

I would love to visit again and stay right here! My friend and I sat in the bar and had a beer the first night and watched Japan beat the US in the finals. I reallyenjoyed being included in a wonderful group. One even tried to teach me how to yodel! Their dog Dunkel is a doll ( I was... More

For those who like quirky accommodation this takes some beating. It's a patrician house of about 1900 which has been in the owner's family since the 1920s and it still has loads of period features. We were promised the "best room in Marburg", perhaps because we were staying 3 nights, and it did not disappoint. We had a huge room... More

“The main floor (2nd floor) double room has a nice terrace.”

“There's a bigger room at the second floor that has a terrace that is just a floor above the brook below. I could imagine a better time there with such a better view and space. I'm in room 8 but have absolutely nothing to complain about. IMPORTANT: Make sure to book in advance and save the hotel's phone number in your mobile phone. It has no usual 'front desk' and an open door where you can gain immediate access inside. It looks like grandma's house from the outside. ;)”
