I should really have given this site 2 stars but I’m with the guy who left an entertaining one star review and said he wouldn’t have missed staying here for the world. After all you need some stories and some experiences to remember a holiday by. We arrived and after trouble found the entrance hidden behind a hedge. No one in reception despite the sign giving opening hours which included our arrival. After some bother a German speaker in our 2 van group got through on a mobile number and we were told to just park up and come back at 5pm. Annoyingly no card payments accepted (this is 2019 FGS!) and only one of us had cash on her so she settled for both vans. No receipt given. The first power point we plugged into had + & - reversed, the second was just dead but the third worked. No sign of trips or breakers. The ground is scruffy dirt and dried grass. No clear markings where to park. Facilities we thought OK. City connections good. In the morning our rumbustious friend came up with invoices saying we hadn’t come back the previous night as he asked and paid. We had some verbal ping pong trying to convince him one of us had paid cash for all of us, not just her Motorhome. He climbed down in the end but I’m not sure he believed us. Moral get a receipt at time of payment. Actually I think this guy is not intentionally abrupt, just think he is either in the wrong job or his line manager or HR dept ( ha ha) needs to send him on a refresher course about customer service and camp site maintenance.

Stayed here for a few nights. Site was very quiet and not surprising really as the owners were less than welcoming. We were sited beside an enormous caravan. The campers in the caravan, who seemed to be friends with the owner, were obviously not happy about us being sited next to them. The owner came and told us to move over in our pitch as there needed to be 3 metres distance between units! Our pitch was less than 5 metres in width and our "neighbours" were tight to their line so we would then be too close to our other neighbours!! We asked to move pitch . My husband went to reception to purchase shower tokens and was instructed to wait outside the office in an aggressive manner by the owner as he busy dealing with another customer. We are seasoned campers and have travelled extensively through Germany and the rest of Europe for more than 20 years but this is the worst site we have visited with regards to customer relations. No wonder it was nearly empty. The site is basic both in facilities and service. Had we not been in Frankfurt to collect our daughter from the airport we would have just packed up and left. Their website advises the need to book in advance as they are very busy.......no evidence of that when we visited! If you don't mind a rude, aggressive, unhelpful and unwelcoming atmosphere then this campsite will suit you!

The place was awful and the customer service couldn't be worse. The owner is such an idiot. It wasn't even near the city centre. Not recommending at all. There is no place for children to play. The reception is next to owners home and he's always there but not answering you if it's out of reception time.

This campside is a good place if you want to do camping in Frankfurt. It is good far from the center, but by bike you could reach it in 30 minutes. Public transport is also perfect to the campsite. Do not expect clean showers and toilet. That depends a little on the camping people as well. Anyways, I think there might be nicer campsites up in the hill, and only chose this place if you want to really camp in Frankfurt and you do not want one of the many good hostels in town.
