The Iberostar Marrakech is the first hotel we have visited twice and it certainly won't be our last visit. Anyone expecting luxury will surely be disappointed but who seeks for hospitality, friendly courteous staff and good service will feel at home at the Iberostar. The hotel is about 25 minutes far from the airport and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city center. We often used the free shuttle service and we also took a few trips around Marrakech. We spent 10 days in Marrakech but could have stayed longer without getting bored. The hotel complex is spacious and there are 3 pools. There is a pool for children, the main pool with action and animation and a quiet pool for relaxation. The food is varied and there are many Moroccan dishes. The restaurant is quite noisy but the terrace is enjoyable and we always found a seat there. We were particularly impressed by the excellent service. The staff is always friendly and tries to fulfill all wishes. Thanks to everyone who made our stay special. Special thanks to Mr. Nabil and Mr. Mohammed from the reception and very special thanks to GM Mr. Walid. We look forward to our next visit.…
We are a family of four - Parents and 2 teenagers (Boy/Girl 18/17). And we opted for a suite and a twin room for the kids. The hotel staff is very attentative. especially we god very good help from a very helpfull staffmember in the reception "Christian". The hotel is well kept - But also seen somewhat expensive (value for the money). (Our next desitnation on the trip was Hotel Adlon, Berlin, Germany - Which offers a couple of notches higher luxery for a more competetive price). The position in Hamburg is good and there is a lot to see in the city. The main reason why we chose this hotel (Over teh "Vier Jahrzeithen") was the affliation to the Marriot loyalty program). We used both the lobby baar and the breakfast restaurant. The resturant at the hotel was closed (COVID-19).
Spent 4 days in Hamburg. We booked Hotel Atlantic because we usually stay at Marriott properties to get the free upgrades. Booking was effortless. Upgraded to lake view room. Staff was exceptional. Lots of history on display at the hotel. Hotel bar was excellent. Within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and train station.
This is a beautiful hotel but not run like the world class institution it advertises itself to be: (1) we arrived late evening and were told that the kitchen closed at 10pm - no restaurant, no room service - really a five star hotel???!!! (2) the wifi is terrible. (3) we had the "do not disturb" sign out - a housekeeper tried to deliver laundry one morning - this sign prevented her from knocking but not from outside the door and dialing the room telephone - what part of "do not disturb" is not understood?? (4) the Nespresso coffee cartridges were not refilled; (5) the pool was unavailable. I would stay here again but these are really some pretty second rate experiences.
We stayed here one night in a Superior Room. Our Room was spacious with a large bathroom, including a bath and a separate shower. However, the room was a bit outdated with faults in the wooden of the wooden furniture. The view was awful, as we had dozens of flats and an ugly courtyard next to us. I understand there are higher room categories with guaranteed better views (e.g. Alster). The room was all together comfortable, quiet, and provided a good sleeping quality (even though the bed was way too soft). Cleanliness was also excellent. Breakfast was good, but the breakfast area and selection of food was a little bit of a disappointment compared to other 5-star Marriott hotels we stayed at. The staff in general were friendly wherever we went, but the absolute minimum service was "offered" (e.g. upon arrival, when we carried our suitcases up the stairs at the main entrance, no help was offered, even though 2 doormen were standing there without being busy with others). It did not take anything away from us enjoying Hotel Atlantic, but also did not impress us. The hotel's location is perfect, so all in all, I would recommend to stay here.…
Quite nice, very quiet room, I loved the bed (mattress, pillow, duvet were excellent), staff was polite and very accommodating, good gym (3rd floor) -- the one and only thing Ididn't appreciate was the rice for the breakfast buffet, which, at EUR37, was too high. The breakfast was nice, but not EUR37 nice (compared to Hiltons or other hotels in that range/league).
I have been three times at the Hotel Atlantic since they gladly have joined Marriotts Ecosystem. This hotel really has some special Charme due to its history and architecture. The staff is very kind all over the place - thanks for the bIrthday cake I have received without mentioning anywhere that It’s my birthday, so it was a real surprise. (I don’t like the idea of telling someone it’s my birthday while I’m silently expecting a gift or a room upgrade) Also, it’s absolutely worth to book the great Atlantic breakfast, so good! Room Service Food was also very Good! The hotel is very well located, right in the middle of the city, there are plenty of really nice places and sights in walking distance. Thanks for having us,
We had a great stay at the Atlantic. It was a bit more expensive than we usually spend on a hotel but we pushed the boat and it was well worth it. The hotel is pristine and across the board, the staff were so attentive and helpful. The gym isn’t huge but it is very well maintained and has nearly everything you would need for most general workouts and the swimming pool is excellent. The location is also great, walking distance to the city centre, right beside the Hauptbanhof and a short walk to the heart of the St. Georg quarter which has a lot of lovely bars, cafés and restaurants. Highly recommend.
We only had breakfast, did not spend the night. Very classy foyer and breakfast room, linens and fantastic service you expect from a top class hotel and very nice choices for a lavish breakfast. Perfect if you have the time to indulge for breakfast or take someone for a special treat. We had no reservation but still got a table for 3 mid morning. Considering the place - I think good value. Check out the courtyard when there! Only "negative": The orange juice was NOT freshly pressed, which was surprising, as you seem to get real time pressed fresh orange juice for about 4 Euros just about anywhere in Hamburg.
We truly enjoyed our two night stay at the property. Location is fantastic. It’s so convenient being a five minute walk from the main train station. From there we could reach every site we could imagine. Many of the sites are actually within walking distance. The property is very elegant. The room incredibly spacious. The staff tremendously helpful. The room amenities were very pleasant. The lobby bar enchanting.
