Me and my partner stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorm for 2 mid-week nights. We arrived early and couldn't check in until 3pm but the staff allowed us to leave our luggage whilst we went out. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean, bed was comfortable although thin blankets and pillow. It was cold when...

Had everything covered with very friendly staff. The bar was a little disappointing as it was filled with older locals rather than hostel guests. Its within 15 minutes walk of the Reeperbahn and nightlife so for us it worked perfectly for the weekend.

We stayed here as a family with a teenager. It's very clean, quite and well located. The staff is extremely friendly and operate from a little cafe/bar downstairs. Breakfast buffet is spartan but very nice with free flow coffee, bread rolls, jam, butter and yogurt. Cold cuts and fresh pastry available at additional cost. The rooms are quite small but...

The hostel is very well situated, close to the Reeperbahn but in a more quiet area with many nice coffee shops, restaurants and bars. The atmosphere in the hostel is really friendly. The cleanliness good enough for me (maybe not for picky people). What I enjoyed the most was the bar of the hostel.

The Hostel is between "Reeperbahn" and "Schanze". Good Location, quiet but next to the "Spots. The Manager, named "Tanja" is a really annoying and unfriendly person. Made our stay uncomfortable without any other reason.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hostel and enjoyed ourselves. The hostel is clean and in a good area - although St Pauli is quite rough and ready (it's very close to the Reeperbahn red light district), it's hip and interesting. It's also easy to get from the airport and to the centre of Hamburg. The wifi was good...

The staff is pretty laid back, the cashier is at the bar (where you check in, where you check out, where you pay for things). I had trouble with unlocking doors but after a few tries, it gets easier! (There is a card system and you twist the knob after the key card unlocks it) The directions on the website...

I stayed here on a month long trip in Europe, considering I stayed in maybe 10+ hostels in that time, Backpacker St Pauli really stood out as one of the better ones. The best thing about this place (in my opinion) is how easy it is! The kitchen is 100% fully equipped and modern, there's several shops and a few...

I wonder why this is getting rave reviews. The staff supposedly slits their wrists for the guests. A hostel staff that is present is equal to one star, two stars is hostel staff that is friendly. Exceptional staff might earn three stars. After that you need something else and that is very much lacking. The rooms are pretty small and...

Dear guest, thank you for your stay and your review. Sad that you did not feel the same about our hostel and staff as the other guests before. Please don't blame us for the farts of other guests in your room. This is how the air can be in a dormitory. About the staff: As my personal experience with you...
