The hotel is close to Potsdamer Platz and right next to the Mall of Berlin, so easily reachable with public transport and with excellent shopping on your doorstep. It is also only a short (10 minute) walk from the Brandenburger Tor and other sights (so good for a tourist visit). Like all Motel One hotels the room was not very...

We are experienced travelers and are staying in Zero to 6 star hotels, depending the occasion. Motel One is one of our preferred choices in Germany, however, the style doesn't suit everyone. It has a certain culture and standard, making each of them the same and yet different. Rooms are always the same! High end super small bathroom, Bed room...

The hotel is on a busy road however once in your room you can not hear any thing outside. The room is basic but very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. Most of main attractions are within walking distance but the underground is right next door. Overall a very pleasent hotel, no frills...

Modern with few frills but well organized, clean, and s friendly atmosphere. My room was quite small, but well set up for business travel. The breakfast was low key with lots of good options. I'd definitely recommend this for business.

I have stayed in several MotelOne Hotels and I simply love the fact that you always know what you get: clean, basic design, no frills but all the essential commodities that one would expect at such a competitive price. The location in Berlin Potsdamer Platz is great, it is also attached to the Mall of Berlin, thus offers also some...

Having spent several days in Motel One in Berlin, I can recommend it for its location, the friendliness of all of the staff, the facilities, and the price. From the moment that I arrived to the time for leaving I was made to feel that the staff knew me and cared for my enjoyment. The room was large and was...

Apart from the location, nothing is special about the hotel. Location - next to Berlin Mall Room - bare minimum, nothing extraordinary. You have borrow the ironing board from the front desk - subject to availability. Breakfast - limited even for European standards

This is perhaps the worst hotel I have ever been to! Rooms without telephone, no drinking water, no room service- practically nothing but the bed! No kettle for tea in a hot without room service. Miserable breakfast. And very unhelpful staff

Excellent location. Right inside the mall! The front desk was helpful and efficient. The rooms were clean and of good size. The location was close enough to walk to everything we wanted to see with many restaurants and bars close by. Initially, we were a little leery of the room size after reading some reviews claiming it was so small....

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
