A small and cosy hotel with surprisingly big rooms :-) Hotel is close to Berlinerstrasse, where you can find lots of shops and cafe. It is also close to the underground station. Due to the small restaurant, at the breakfast it feels like at home.

We had an excellent apartment that was well equipped and very clean. Breakfasts were really excellent. The staff were very helpful. Located in the center of Alt-Tegel there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The U-Bahn is nearby and there is also water transport on the nearby lake.

First floor room, so did not have issues with carrying luggage up the stairs. The room was good sized and everything clean and in good repair. It was warm, but open windows did not help much because curtains blocked air circulation. Wifi cut out a few times while in use. Good pressure in shower, but I kept hitting the control...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in route home. The weather was very warm and we arrived after 9PM. This is significant because reception was closed and there was automated check-in which did not work for us. We rang the night bell and eventually someone showed up to let us in and provide a key. There are no...

If you arrive Berlin at Schoenefeld airport, or at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, th hotel is not your first choice. If you arrive at Tegel airport, however, Hotel Alt-Tegel may be the perfect place for you. The hotel is located a few steps from Metro station Alt-Tegel, so you can easily enter the public transit system. But there are lots of nice...

The hotel is in a very quiet, but lively neighborhood of Berlin. It is short train ride to the center of town. The location was perfect to see the sites of Berlin during the day and to enjoy the local area at night. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes around Alt Tegal. There is even a lake and...

Now I should admit up front that I arrived close to midnight, so things may be different during daylight hours, but I managed to get in, check-in, find my room and stay the night...without ever seeing an actual person. The keys arrived down a chute at the front door as I was talking into a kind of speakerphone. Bizarre. A...
