We have been staying at Clipper City Home since about 2000, both before and after the renovations. The location is great, and the staff always helpful and cordial. I rarely give five stars to a place, but Clipper City Home does deserve it.

Great room with a comfy bed, plenty of cupboard space and a small kitchenette - fridge, sink, microwave. Clean and well appointed bathroom. Plenty of crockeryt and cutlery. Posh coffee maker, toaster, kettle. Very nice little conservatory balcony room thing. The free wifi was pretty decent too. Extremely central. I was working at the Russian House on Friedrichstraße but you...

Thanks to your help, I really enjoyed gorgeous and excellent times in Berlin. I loved spending a few hours sitting on the armchair in the balcony to read a book and looking down at horse coaches running on the street. The only thing I was disappointed with was the kitchenette without cooking stove, so that I could not enjoy cooking...

This location is brilliant- just near the corner of Unter de Linden & Friedrichstrasse- so it is walking distance of so many sites. Everything in the apartment is immaculate. The reception staff are helpful & very nice people. Definitely to be recommended

Excellent location for walking or catching buses? Access to airport and train nearby. clean, quiet with the added bonus of access to a washing machine and dryer. Not too many cheaper restaurants for dinner close. The Italian restaurant next door is really good with genuine Italian homemade pasta. We went there 3times in a week. Wonderful cafe for coffee around...

Fantastic accommodation which is unbelievably close to most of the major sights in the centre of Berlin. This place is absolutely immaculate so 10/10 to the cleaning staff for all their hard work in keeping it so. Price: This was my first time in Berlin. I had been advised that as a City it is very expensive ( I am from London). The price was a reasonable price for a stay in Berlin, upon arrival it was very easy to find the place and it was well lit and clearly signed. Location: It is in a FANTASTIC...

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
