My husband and I go to Berlin every year and always stay at the clipper city home. We really love it there. The apartments are very nice and luxurious and the personnel very friendly. The beds are great and the apartments are very quiet even though you are really in the city's center. Highlights like the brandenburger tor, the reichstag,... More

We had great experience in the apartment. It was clean. The rooms have all needed comodities and the location is great. The room cleaming and towels change are made every second day. There are many coffe shops around so you can have breakfast nearby. The overall experience was exellent.

Exceeded my expectations. Staff were very accommodating in finding a room for me to check in early so I could work from the hotel on the day I arrived. Free wifi worked very well. Facilities in the room were great. Location excellent.

Our studio was very clean and had everything we could want for a short stay. The location is excellent, being only a few minutes walk from Friedrichstrasse and with a supermarket and numerous restaurants nearby. The only reason I have given a low rating for Sleep Quality is that the bedding was made from feathers and I get an allergic... More

It has an excellent location - very close to Museum Island, Tiergarten, Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag. At the same time - it is a relatively quiet place. Very big room with small kitchenette and dining area.

Close to major attractions in Berlin. Good sized studio apartment with excellent bathroom. Kitchen very basic, few utensils and no stove or hot plates. Sunroom area onto window seemed like a waste of space. Windows looked directly into offices and apartments across the street. Staff were friendly and helpful, even when dealing with me in English :-). Restaurant next to... More

It is apartment not a hotel, and it is very nicely prized, immaculately clean, well equipped. Location is great, minutes from Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie and train station. I have used it during the Berlin Marathon stay and loved it. Beds can be bit softer, but that is just personal preference.

This was a perfect location for exploring Berlin. Very close to metro and walking distance to most of the historical sites. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the neighborhood quite and safe.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
