We had a 2-room suite, big enough for family of 5 with a balcony. The showers were strong with hot water (though small). The hotel provided the basics, such as soap, towels and dishes in the kitchenette. The location is perfect for touring main sites, such as Reichstag and Brandenburger Tor, and the Berlin canal/river boats. There is a convenient...

Hotel Central Inn hotel occupies the second floor of an older building. The hotel is absolutely nothing fancy and nowhere to spend any time outside of sleeping and showering. However, everything that was important worked well - rooms were clean, bathrooms nicely tiled, no mildew, large shower stalls with did not leak water all over the place, plenty of hot...

It is more like an overnight lodge than a hotel. Very central and well located. Not much else to like. Very expensive for a room and not anything else. Cannot get drinks. Rooms very old, and hotel noisy.

I booked a room in this hotel but had to cancel it before arriving (which was a little late to be honest). The room was already 100% paid in advance. I told the receptionist, that spoke barely german that I would take the room in this case anyways. She promised, that she would refresh the reservation and would not charge...

2 Room apartment, very large, very quiet as we faced the internal courtyard. A good position within walking distance from Berlin Hauptbanhof, the Bundestag and Brandenberg Tor. Buses and trams also close by. Friendly and helpful reception and service staff. We stayed here for 5 days and it was good being able to cook a few meals. There are an...

After confusion with the booking we had a 2 room 2 shower room apartment with a small kitchenette. It was clean but had only beds, no sofa and furniture was marked. It was quiet as we were at the back. Quite a walk from the station but walking distance from Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. Breakfast was next door in a...

Stayed here for 6 nights. There is a bathroom in the room, so that must have changed since the reviews from 2013. Be cautioned what room you stay in, our windows opened up right onto the next doors balcony, somewhat awkward for both parties and could have safety issues. Rooms are small, no thrills, but clean. Our room was facing...

The title of the review is the best thing that can be said about this hotel. Less of a hotel and closer to an average hostel. Small rooms, shabby building and even then the most expensive place we stayed on our trip around Europe and probably the worst in terms of location. Good location and a great value pizzeria and...

Borring neighborhood. Shady building. Not verry cheap and bad internet. The shower was a bit icky. Don't try the breakfast, never saw it but it can't be good. For one night it was OK but if you plan to stay in Berlin, look for a hotel in Kreutzberg.

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
