Fjord Berlin is a compact hotel, located close to the mitte. It is not in the mitte however besides various transportation options, by walk Bradenburg Gate is only 20 min away. Check their website for location info with cool tips. Reception staff was very warm, helpful and responsive. Even before our check in, they responded my e-mails swift and positively. During checkin we received a detailed info about hotel and surroundings. We got very fulfilling answers to our questions regarding Berlin and other tourist related things. Breakfast was marvellous. If you stay here, you must get the breakfast. Not only tasty and fresh but also varied and rich. Last day, we were checking out before breakfast serving hours and asked for lunch box. They prepared 6 packages for 2 of us. Very thoughtful... It gave us an extra energy for our long trip ahead. Room was modest which you would expect from a Berlin city hotel. It was clean and looked after well. Heating was sufficient. I found bed soft and pillow think/soft. It can be me so I can't say they are not good. Due to our short term of stay, I didn't ask a change. Roomed cleaned daily. I recommend this hotel and I would choose it again when I visit Berlin. …
Our family was visiting for New Years and days after. We got a family room which accommodated us well, if a little pinched for space. We're pretty low maintenance, so it wasn't a problem for us. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The location was great - it's located in a neighborhood just over the river from the Potsdamer Platz area. Close to a metro stop. The breakfast was a bit pricey, but lots of variety and delicious. The front desk staff was really helpful. We needed them to print out tickets for a hockey game and help us with transportation. Quiet room (except for New Years, of course).
Really friendly staff at the hotel. We arrived late so used the safe box outside to get the key which was really simple to use, I'd spoken to the hotel before to confirm we would be late due to a late flight time and they explained everything. We stayed for 3 nights, in the smallest room but this was more than ample for the two of us. The location is great, Berlin has great quality public transport and there's plenty of links nearby to any where in the city, we visited for the Christmas markets and this was ideal for getting around all of them. The breakfast has a wide range of food available and caters to all needs, best part is that it's open until 11 so you can have that extra time in bed in the mornings.
This is a fantastic choice at the budget end. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and beds, although a little soft, gave a comfortable nights sleep. The breakfast is quite basic but good quality and coffee was great. Also a small bar which is served by the front desk staff . Location is nice and quiet and is about 1km walk to central shopping area. This is a small pension style hotel so don't expect the facilities of a 4+ style hotel (i.e. no gym, spa or 24hr reception). On the downside the door is locked at 10:30pm with no staff on front desk. This becomes a bit of a problem if someone has forgot their key and is trying to get in which happened one evening with incessant knocking on the door at night. Otherwise a great choice!
Clean, Simple and nice small hotel, with great location. Walking distance from most places or/and connection ad public transport. Parking places for own car, 15€ stay. Staff was nice and only problem.. as anywhere in Germany.. was lack of noice cancellation, not as special promlem of this hotel, more like nationality habbit as loudly noices as well. hotel itself, recomended. 👍
The Hotel was within walking distance of the heart of Berlin. The room and hotel beautifully clean. Very helpful staff. Would recommend. Good value for money. They have a bar where you can get a coffee or a drink. Buffet breakfast with good selection.
The hotel was very nice! Very cozy, modern and clean, the staff was super!!! Very polite. The hotel decoration had a very good taste. And the hotel was very close, walking distance, to Postdam platz. We loved it and consider to stay here also on business trips!
This is an alright hotel considering I paid about 170 Euro for a night. The rooms are extremely small and the bathrooms as well. There are no service folks after 10pm and it’s in a pretty secluded part of the town. It’s safe and clean but not sure if worth the price.
Location is fantastic, at 10 minutes walking from Potsdamer Platz in a very calm neighbourhood, 0 noise and far from trafic. Confortable bed even if small , and small rooms as well. But not a bad option.
I stayed for a night, when I visited NOAH and it was a pleasant stay. All staff was polite, helpful and forthcoming. Rooms are a bit outdated but large (for the price). Bathrooms are new. Will go there again.
