The hotel is in the second floor of an old building in a side street to Kurfürstendamm. It has a beautiful old elevator and stairway. The double room was very spacious, high ceiling. The furniture however is not so great. The bed was old and worn out. The sheets were a little too small so they tend to get undone...

It was a very nice experience. The hotel staff was very friendly, the room was clean and pretty cosy. The breakfast was good too. Definitely try their jams..delicious! But the most important think is that the hotel is placed very close to the train, bus and subway station and there are a lot of restaurants and pubs nearby.

A city hotel, near public transportation, just of Ku'damm. Clean, quiet and spacious room. Very friendly and welcoming stuff. There is an option for breakfast in a nice dining room (at extra cost) but we haven't tried it. Price was very reasonable. Entire facility is smoke free.

The room was very clean, it looked exactly as advertised in pictures. We stayed 2 nights, and after the first night room service knocked on our door to ask if everything is ok and if we need anything. Comparing with the other pictures here on trip advisor, the room was dustless, everything was neatly cleaned, the bathroom was in perfect...

The room was beyond dirty. Hair all over the place, 1cm of dust behind the door, around the bed and on heaters. It was not vacuum cleaned in years. Everything was covered in dust, so that we could barely breath. Although we asked the receptionist to take care of that, we were disappointed to see they didn't seem to care...

Bottom level cleanless. Dusty and neglected. Shower sinks to whole room, bcs very weak infrastructure. Btw this was our second room far better the first one. We moved after construction noise at 8:00. Plz choice some other place. We regret to be there.

Positives: Location in the heart of shopping and eateries; Allowed early check-in; Pleasant staff; Very quite (too quiet, really); Robust WiFi (better than my WiFi at home!); Great (historic?) old building and lift; Easy to hail cab at end of street corner. Negatives: Room was way too small; Electrical outlet dangerously hanging out of wall; Lights off at night in...

Lovely old-school pension-hotel, in a turn of the century block. Fantastic high ceilings, spacious room, fab balcony, attentive service. (Lose a point for soft mattress; very unusual in Berlin.) We breakfasted in the hotel once -- good, classic German fruhstuck: cold meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, decent bread. Located on a leafy side street off Ku'damm, Charlottenburg. Lots of restaurants /...

We had a problem and could not stay at the hotel. We had a non refundable reservation however. I wrote to them and they could not have been more accommodating. They cancelled the reservation and did not charge us. This tells me that service is a top priority for this hotel. I will stay there next time I am in...

The hotel was everything we had expected! The rooms rate was affordable and the hotel in itself was an experience! Each room is unique and the hallways are filled with interesting artifacts. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, everyone we spoke with spoke English! The breakfast which the hotel offers is also affordable and was very good. The only...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
