Hotel seems functional, although it has strange elevator system, to halfway between floors. Breakfast was nice, but coffee was really poor. Staff was friendly and helpful, not on duty very, very late (something like 3am!), but not an issue. Located a street or two from Tech Univ Berlin, and also a street or so form the rapid bus form tegel... More

The front desk attendant could not have been more welcoming, gracious and helpful! Great first impression! The Hotel is older and not at all pretentious. The room was neat, clan and not at all cramped. The fact that they had pre-ordered a vegan breakfast for us that was delicious was a big plus. Would happily return.

Charming clean room with a nice sofa group to relax in, elegant bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, a lobby with a bar to meet friends in, optional english breakfast. There can be no complains about this hotel. I fully recommend it. The adjacent indian resturant is also very good.

This a small hotel which is situated close to Savigny Platz, which is a lovely location with green spaces and lots of bars and restaurants. There is also a rail/subway station close by which is great for travelling around city. The hotel is well run and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean with... The location is perfect: a quiet, up-scale street in what felt like Manhattan's Upper East Side. Many nice, affordable restaurants in the neighborhood. Very easy access to all modes of public transportation: underground, bus (including the #100 bus that connects many attractions and the airport express bus), suburban rail. Our family was provided 2 adjoining rooms which were large, clean,... More

I have been there with my colleagues on a business trip. Outside seems like 3* hotel, but the services and the rooms are 4* for sure. The bed is very comfortable, the waiter and waitress are kind and available. The rooms are clean.

We arrived a couple of hours earlier than supposed to, but we could check in without any problems. We got a very nice and spacious room, which also had free wi-fi. Also very helpful and welcoming staff at the reception, really made our stay. It's located very conveniently, 5 minutes walk from train and underground stations, many bars and restaurants... More

Interesting hotel. We stayed in the old building that fronts Carmerstraße. The room was relatively large and included a 2 seat sofa with coffee table, a desk and plenty of room around the bed. Bathroom was average size, but was dated and had one of those 'powered' toilets like you find on some trains - works on suction followed by... More

This is a quiet, nice little hotel in a nice neighborhood, with many cafes etc., in pretty central location to west Berlin - close to Zoo station, a bit to the north. Don't expect too much, though.. still, if on a budget, it may be a good choice.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
