We loved this apartment on the edge of Mitte.it was perfect for our needs: clean, comfortable and in an excellent location. It does not have a lift, so no good if you can't do stairs. There is a supermarket nearby for food etc. And you can cook in the apartment. Overall a great time

Stayed in a great value fabulous apartment overlooking a lovely courtyard which was within walking distance of Alexanderplatz and close to the fabulous Berlin travel system for going further afield. A supermarket is just up the road which is really useful for bits and bobs (we mainly ate out though )Brilliant time. Wi fi in the apartment was strong too

Stayed again and was as good as the first time. Rooms were plain but comfortable, breakfast in the cafe downstairs. The staff were friendly and allowed me to clumsily speak to them in German even though they spoke English well. Our room opened to an internal courtyard and was quiet even though the area is busy. Price was good and...

Stayed here 5 nights with much success. Three friends in town for the Christmas markets and a day trip to Hamburg. There is much to do in the evenings in the neighborhood and a supermarket just up the street. Really nice to make your own breakfast and coffee in the morning before heading out. Very close to the U-bahn and...

A busy Weekend in Berlin, Christmas Markets in full swing Schoenhouse was in the perfect location to get about either on foot or public transport. We had an apartment tucked away from the main road, spacious clean and warm. Receptionist very happy to help, taxis ordered arriving within 2 minutes. Small Cafe within reception with fresh pastries but the apartment...

i rented the flat for 6 month because i live in Berlin and I really suggest to everyone of you to go everywhere else but them, if you are not German you might be treated differently. not at all cooperative, you are just a number not a person, they care only about money

The apartment was just right for a short stay with our family of four. The location is brilliant, it's a nice neighbourhood with loads of great restaurants and is centrally located. Staff were friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again.

The rooms in the 1-bedroom apartment were bigger than anticipated (and larger than they appear in photos). It was a very comfortable apartment in a good location with restaurants & cafes all around, plus a metro stop a block away. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and would stay there again if we ever make it...

Nice large studio room for 4. A little disappointed the extra bed was a double and not two singles (have two teenagers). Great location - easy access to all sites and also some nice eats at night. Found it hard to check out but then it was early on a Saturday

The apartment was fantastic.. we had one to sleep four and it was massive. Great kitchen facilities and the beds were really comfortable. Location was superb, 2 mins from underground . We arrived at 11am and although checkin was not till 3pm, our apartment was ready and we were allowed access. Would revisit.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
