I booked this hostel for 3 nights and after i made the reservations I have found a lot of negative comments. (I didn't check the comments before because I was in a hurry).

First time both me and my mum had ever stayed in a hostel and overall it was good value for money and we would do it again. Only downside is breakfast ain't great and wifi signal is poor. But staff were really friendly and helpful.
I booked through Super escape and they charged me Euros 62 per night so I expected better. All the room mates had paid 10 and 22 per night which would suite the type of accommodation.
The staff was really nice and the cleaners did a...More
We are now in the hotel and we were a little disappointed with the structure. We booked a double room but we were placed in another room with two bunk beds. The room is very different from the pictures and the cleanliness of the place...More
Now when are you not on a tight budget? It was my first time hostel ing and I was pleasantly surprised. The price was right! The accommodation was better than expected. Yes noisy but what do you expect in a city like Berlin? Central to...More
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit
buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.

hi, unfortunately I can't help with the airport to hostel as we took the train and walked to the hostel. you can take the train from the main station. I think there is a lift when you get to the station near the hostel. I would say it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the hostel from there. maybe a little longer. we used the train a bit as there weren't too many of the main attractions round that area...well I don't think so anyway. the east side gallery is on that side of town so that was handy and is a bit tourist attraction. for the things like the Brandenburg gate and Jewish memorial etc you will need to take public transport. even though it's only one district apart it's fairly far. we didn't buy the card, but if it includes unlimited travel I would get it. the train system is pretty easy to use so I would try that.
