Hotel-Pension Waizenegger is a very unique place to stay. The pension is situated in Schöneberg on a quiet street, but in the same time it is near Kurfurstendamm which is a very busy boulevard. The room was cosy and clean. The breakfast was fine. If you are travelling by car, for 20 Euro deposit the staff will give you a... More

I stayed in this hotel mid June 2016 for 4 nights. The single room was average size so made luggage storage easier. Breakfast served each morning that contained a variety of breads, cereals, eggs and coffee/ tea. Thankfully there is a lift so transporting luggage was convenient. Location was good- close to the main shopping street that gives easy access... More

An unusual Hotel in an old residential apartment building. The room was quite spacious with a shower and wash basin in the room but you had to go across the hall for the toilet. The furnishing and décor is rather tired BUT for €50 an night including a good breakfast for 2 people, and free car parking in the centre... More

Not a very good place to stay, but not awful. Photos on the web-page do not match the reality, I post really photos. Not far from the underground or tram, good owner and poor quality. As for me, it is too expensive for this service, but if you need it for only 1 night, it's not a bad choice.

We stayed in this hostel for 1 night only during our stay in Berlin. I choose this hostel for its location and good reviews. The hotel is just 5 min walking distance from S-Bahn station Savignyplatz. The hotel has many shops nearby to shop around. There are 3-4 Indian restaurants that you may find in the vicinity of this hotel.... More

I stayed at Pension Waizenegger last month whilst visiting Berlin with friends for Grune Woche. I last stayed at this pension six years ago and not much has changed. There is still a smell of smoke in the communal areas but it would appear that this is now only from the staff smoking in their office off the dining room.... More

The old style Berlin pension which occupies one floor of an old prewar apartment building is in a fantastic area around the Mommsenstrasse. It is only a 3 minute walk from Savignyplatz station where the commuter trains (S Bahn) bring you cheaply and efficiently anywhere in Berlin or the outskirts (Potsdam with its palaces, for example). The neighbourhood contains lots... More

Stayed here for five nights with my partner in mid January. At first we were both skeptical of the location (Charlottenburg is quite a distance from Berlin) but the location turned out to be superb, as the penzion is half an hour by foot to the splendid Charlottenburg Palace, and only about four minutes on foot to Savignyplatz, the S-Bahn... Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
