The hotel is very nice. It was a short train ride into the heart of Berlin and a short cab ride to the main train station. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great with a wide selection to choose from and very friendly staff. Our room was large and the bathroom had separate shower room and toilet room. It was exceptionally quiet. Everything was very clean and the air conditioning worked great. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again if we visit Berlin.
That was our feeling during our stay at the Steinplatz Autograph hotel in Berlin. As if everything was perfectly arranged to make us feel at home. Everything was very nice, but the customer service of the entire staff far exceeds the highest expectations of the most demanding frequent traveler. Especially the front desk staff did everything possible so that, at the end of our vacation, we did not want to leave. Congratulations team. You're the best.
This hotel was beautiful, the room was very posh. Bed was so comfortable and I loved that the toilet/small sink were separated from the bath and vanity. It’s one of the nicest rooms I’ve stayed in. The gym was great, bonus for me it even had a peloton bike. Breakfast was amazing! The bar was closed one of the nights we stayed when it was scheduled to be open which was a small annoyance. On Mondays the restaurant is closed so we ordered off the bar menu and I had the grilled Gouda sandwich, would not recommend…I’m not sure if it was just an odd night but nothing about that sandwich was good. The staff was great and the two complaints weren’t enough of an issue to make this less than a five star review,
Top shelf staff led to excellent, attentive, but not obtrusive service in a very comfortable, chic and quiet atmosphere. Location if terrific - close to business centers and important sites in Berlin. Near to myriad local restaurants and quiet, tree-lined neighborhoods. Beds were very comfortable and the room very stylish. Great stay.
The hotel is well located in an area full of restaurants. Rooms are comfortable but not as big as expected, the narrow space between the bed and the surrounding waòòs are somehow not you expect in a 5* hotel. The Lobby is almost unexistant if you expect to sit there and meet to somebody, but the real disappointing has been the breakfast. I was supposed to meet a business guest I had invited to join me for breakfast, and I was ashamed for the very poor service we received. 20 minutes to receive a cup of coffe, the orange juice pitchers always empty, tables were left dirty and not promptly prepared for new upcoming guests, careless and partly arrogants waiters and so on. Let's say the service you expect in a 3* hotel with a bad management. I did complain both in the restaurant and at the reception nd was removed the breakfast bill as a gesture of good will I did appreciate. They must have some easonsor serious problem to make all this happen nevertheless I would not raccomend the hotel am Steinplatz if you are professionally in Berlin and look for an adequate hotel. Furthermore the lack of politeness and support of the waiters has been totally unucceptable. It's their fault if I will never give the hotel a second chance.…
Loved this hotel. Great room (Jr suite) with plenty of space. Bathroom with tub. The toilet room has a somewhat odd door on it, but not a huge issue. Only change would be to use a different thermostat but that is pretty mild issue. I would add the hotel is gorgeous and I loved eating in the courtyard. Even the restaurant food was excellent. Disappointed I did not eat there more! And yes, get all the dishes.
I stayed at Hotel am Steinplatz for 6 nights in April '22. The room was wonderful—one of the comfiest hotel beds I've ever slept in. I also appreciated the bathroom amenities and the spa on the fifth floor. But I want to give a special note of gratitude to the hotel staff—at the end of my stay, I contracted a small stomach bug. The concierge went out to pick up drugs for me at the pharmacy, room service brought me toast and bananas (no charge), and one man even stopped at the store on the way into work to grab me a few bottles of Powerade. They all made sure I had everything I needed until I got better. I already appreciated the staff before my short illness, but as a solo traveler in a foreign country, I was very grateful for such a personalized experience.
My first business trip post COVID took me to Berlin. I chose the last hotel I stayed at as I wanted a sense of familiarity. Steinplatz did not fail to deliver high-quality friendly service, a clean safe environment and delectable food. I love the light rooms too for energy, especially when so many these days are dark and moody. Will be back soon!
Berlin is our favorite city to visit and we previously stayed at the Swissotel (now closed) and the Sofitel Kudamm (now Dorint Kudamm). After seeing less than positive reports on the Dorint, we decided to look for another place to stay in the Kudamm vicinity. Absolutely delighted to find this lovely hotel. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, the staff were so attentive and helpful. We received a room upgrade and it was impeccably clean, spacious, quiet and with a lovely comfortable bed for the weary legs after lots of walking around the city. Housekeeping was done daily and lots of nice touches like providing a hotel bookmark for my wifes book she had by the bedside. Attention to detail on the little items like this set them apart from others. The front desk staff were always so helpful whenever we had questions. Proximity to the Kudamm and transport (S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Bus) was very good. Hoping to return again and Hotel Am Steinplatz will be my first place to search.…
+++Overall good stay there. Nice building, up to date decoration. Well situated , not so far the public transportation and some good restaurants. Correct breakfast buffet. Overall clean. - - - Very small and outdated fitness room. Staff uniforms at the restaurant could be a bit more smart (basket? colored socks?, … that doesn’t match with the hotel’ style). Probably due To Covid situation Staff was very limited with nobody at the front desk upon our check out … that make us a bit Skeptical about the service nivel for a 5* hotel. Also seems that the hotel applies cost cutting on room’s amenities …bathroom is empty and almost all is upon request: individual shoes shine, shower cap, sewing kit, … all those small touches that make the difference between 4 and 5* hotel…
