I have just stayed here for 2 nights to see my son who is living nearby so I chose it to be near him as opposed to staying nearer the centre. It’s a business, no frills hotel. The entrance is not nice and smells like most of the area and you then take a lift up to reception which is small and joined to the breakfast area. The rooms are basic but ok. There is no real pillow menu (if you like that kind of thing). The bathrooms are nice and the shower works well. There’s clever lighting in the room. I did complain that although the curtains were blackout, they didn’t stretch across the windows so was a bit disappointing but to be fair when I went out they put it an extra curtain very quickly. It’s a very basic hotel and in an unpleasant area where drugs are sold on every corner. It would not be my usual choice and I’d say it’s 3 star not 4 but management were very helpful and acted immediately when needed. Breakfast was extremely basic but you can ask and they will oblige. Would I come back? Possibly, for one or two nights but only to be near my son. There’s also no air con so imagine it’s very hot in the summer. There are not many other choices in the area for the price. …
The location is filthy and full of people selling drugs. The hotel interior looks outdated and it is extremely hot in the summer. I do not understand how they expect you to sleep in such a hot room. Outside it is very noisy so it is not an option to open the window. The hotel staff gave us a room with 2 single beds instead of the room we booked with a double bed. They couldn't care less that I and my girlfriend had to sleep apart. We left in the end and booked an other hotel. Avoid this hotel.
I enjoyed my stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. They even arranged take away breakfast becasue my flight was very early in the morning. The linen were very clean and the room well ventilated. Hot water at all times.
The rooms are quite nice and the staff are helpful and friendly but there is no air con and when you open the window it’s noisy. So it’s a good choice unless it’s mid summer! One commendation is I left something in the room and the staff kindly arranged with me for it to be shipped to my London hotel.
For a hotel in a major city, this was great value. It doesn’t look much from the outside, but once you’re inside it’s perfectly respectable. The staff were incredibly helpful, possibly some of the best for a hotel at this price point. My room was a reasonable size, very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
Firstly, the location for this hotel is great. Right in the middle of trendy Kreuzberg and with a U-bahn station on your door step which can get you into the city center in about 15 minutes. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you which is great. The breakfast is also good with a decent choice of dishes and beverages. It’s also served until 11am which is great if you want a sleep in. The room was a good size but we weren’t keen on having two single beds we pushed together as we had requested a double. Our booking came with a complimentary bottle of wine but no bottle opener so we had to go down to reception. I would say the bathroom was good but some of the toiletries (shower gel etc) had been opened and half used which was a shame. The maids did an impeccable job cleaning every day and the room was always spotless and re stocked on our return. I would say our stay was above definitely average but not ‘very good’. I would probably try somewhere else for our next time in Berlin. …
I have stayed at this hotel annually for 3 years when I visit my daughter who lives in the area. I still think it's great. The location is perfect- restaurants in walkable distance everywhere. There is a cashpoint at the entrance of the building. The rooms are comfortable, the shower is terrific and they have all the amenities. I have eaten Korean BBQ ( Kimchi Princess directly below) Italian ( across the street) Turkish food ( across the street, homemade pasta, Indian and Thai and within 2-3 blocks. I don't eat at the hotel because there are great coffee shops and breakfast places nearby. Bar scene is hopping if you like that sort of thing. The train is across the street and it's also easy to get a cab. Will continue to go there. My daughter comes to stay with me because she loves the shower!…
Myself and a friend had an enjoyable three night stay over the weekend. We thought the room was good value, clean, and well equipped (the tea and coffee was an unusual and pleasant surprise), check in and check out was efficient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. As noted in other reviews, there is no air conditioning so the room was warm, but we knew to expect this. Our room was on the quieter side of the building so there was noise but probably quieter than the front with an open window. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby so we didn't try the hotel food.
The is a strange little hotel - the rooms are small, the room cleaning staff are liable to knock on your door at 8am, but all staff are super friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night, so main thing for us was location. And for that it gets 5 stars! Its a short walk to some great shops, cafes and food places and venues. For a short stay, this places is highly recommended
Extremely expensive room in which it was impossible to rest because of the noise of the street ( a 6 canal car way) and the inexistence of climatisation ( only warm air but not cold). The services doesn't exist, there is only one person in a very small desk of reception, and for the price of 240 euros per night we have not breakfast included, but, sincerely, we don't regret, in view of the bad quality offered in this place.
