We organized our Board meetings in the hotel last week and were received by a highly professional team, polite, professional, really responsive to our needs and last minute changes. Special note to the food. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. Great service especially from the doorman, Carlton. Would strongly recommend renting electric bikes from the hotel and exploring the city especially Tempelhofer airfield park.

Where to start....... Have to start with Felix, the concierge who was outstanding at what he does and a sweet person too. My contact with Felix began way before we arrived and he was extremely helpful with all arrangements. The staff at Das Stue exceeded our expectations and they made us feel like family from the beginning. This is a hotel like no other with fabulous one of a kind contemporary design/decor/art. A magnificent chandelier greets you in the entrance - made of hundreds of ping pong balls its genius and captures our attention every time. Our Junior Suite was stunning and spacious, with comfortable bed, shower and high ceilings. All of our 8 nights were very quiet with no noise coming from the hallway. One special feature of staying here is they have direct access to the zoo by a gate and its a beautiful zoo with lovely paths. We had delicious breakfasts, a couple of lunches & dinners in a stunning design space or on the patio. Special thank you to Felix, Madinai, Riccardo, Julian, Queen, Arian, Tobias, Clifford for making our stay a home away from home. (and anyone I missed whose name I don't have) Almost forgot we used their spa services which were excellent and a good sized pool. The location was perfect for us, as its right next to Tiergarten Park, a beer garden and restaurant right by a lake

Beautiful hotel in perfect, quiet and leafy and still central location. Reception was very amateur with untrained staff hardly speaking german. No explanation about hotel services, breakfast etc. Room was beautiful and airy with a very confortable bed. Huge positive point: windows can be opened. Downside: noise from aircon from other rooms even when mine is off and windows closed. And insufficient lighting to put makeup on. Biggest deception: breakfast is à la carte which makes a quick pre-work b‘fast difficult. And the Avocado-toast came with a heavy green sauce instead of fresh avocado.

Front office needs training. Urgently. When I arrive at the reception, I expect 3 things: 1) a smile, 2) "welcome", 3) explanation of all the hotel services. (I won't go so far as to push for a "Thank you for your loyalty".) None of this was provided. Check-in was rushed and chaotic. I didn't feel welcome at all. My status was also ignored and the welcome drink voucher wasn't prepared, I had to ask for it. In a 5-star hotel? Terrible first impression. Embassy room far too small for the price and with no functioning A/C. It was like a sauna! I don't care if it was unusually hot in Berlin, I expect a full functioning A/C in a luxury hotel. When I asked for the room to be cooled down, because I thought I was doing something wrong, I got a fan. A nice gesture, but a bad sign, indicating that the A/C isn't really working. In an extremely expensive 5-star hotel?! Bed too hard, I had to ask for a mattress topper. The receptionist didn't understand what I was talking about, so I left a note to the housekeeping team. When I asked her for the pillow menu, something I expect in a luxury hotel, the same receptionist asked me what kind of pillow I wanted. How can I say if I don't see the pillow menu?! I guess it doesn't exist? In the end I just asked for a feather pillow. Of course, I didn't get it. I guess they don't have feather pillows at this supposedly 5-star hotel. I could go on... Breakfast, again, not worthy of a 5-star hotel. The a la carte menu is so short that I couldn't believe my eyes! And why was there no buffet on Sunday? Buffet is supposedly served on weekends. Let me guess, a la carte breakfast costs the hotel less? The staff at breakfast were very nice though. They should switch places with the receptionists, to be honest. I was very unlucky in that I dealt with the same receptionist every time. An incredibly cold person who has no place working in the hospitality industry. She didn't even ask me whether everything was OK at check-out. That was probably smart as she would have got an earful. Good things about this hotel are the location next to Tiergarten and the welcome amenity was very nice. The building itself is beautiful but a grand exterior and a spiral staircase do not a 5 star hotel make. The service was so disappointing that I couldn't believe it. At 450 EUR a night, this is an incredible insult. I will never return. I am aware of the staff shortages and all the challenges the hotel industry is facing, but if you're going to charge so much money, I expect to get my money's worth. All in all, an incredible disappointment. In conclusion, the impression I got is that this hotel only cares about your money and not your satisfaction.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful building and lovely location. our room had a wonderful view on Tiergarten which was peaceful. the service was excellent, everybody (front desk, concierge, waiters at breakfast, barmen) was extremely helpful and friendly. special thanks to the two very lovely young men at the bar. also, the breakfast menu is fantastic. every product was fresh, tasteful and high quality. the rooms, although a bit too small for this level of hotel, are beautiful and very well furnished and equipped. beautiful bathroom. I would strongly recommend this hotel and come back with pleasure.

A beautiful hotel set on the southern edge of the Tiergarten in a quiet neighbourhood backing onto Berlin zoo - consequently, quite a lot of walking involved to take in the city (we hired the hotel bikes on 2 days). Lovely ambience and smell! Very stylish decor and art work Our suite was excellent if a little warm Service was generally very friendly and helpful Great bar service and nice breakfast The hotels restaurant was pretty good but we had better meals during our stay Nice pool area Ok gym The only reason the hotel isn’t getting 5* is there was a problem with my bill that took a week after check out to resolve which was annoying at the time I would go back though for sure

It seemed fine at first when we got there, friendly service etc except no one helped with luggage from Taxi. When we went to bed we discovered that the pretty loud ambiant music from the entrance was discoverable from our room 118. The next day it was even louder and we complained and were told that the issue would be forwarded and nothing happened so we called again reception and were once again told that they would lower the volume… once again nothing happened. The noise (mainly the basses) kept us from sleeping. This is not what we expect from a luxury hotel.

Dear Jan, thank you so much for your important personal feedback and your honest review. On behalf of the team and the management I am terribly sorry to read that you were not able to enjoy your stay with us as it should have been. Please accept my sincerest apologies that we have missed to adjust the volume or propose a satisfying solution. This is clearly not our standard at all and should not have happened. I would have love to find a solution with you about the volume or offer a room-move. I can only hope to serve you better in the future and I am wishing you all the best. Warm regards, Dennis

Our Stay at the SO Berlin Das Stue was superb! The staff were so friendly and provided outstanding service. Breafast was delicious with such a variety of dishes to choose from. We booked the SO Suite and the room was lovely! We were only a short walk away from the centre of town/tourist destinations! I would highly recommend this hotel for a couples stay and I would definitely return!
