    Utterly charming
Reviews about the hotel are spot on. The hotel and staff are utterly charming. We had a couple of night caps at the bar, and the drink recommendations were great in a very tasteful setting. Our room had a great view of the Przewalski horse ben and it was great to throw open the curtains in the morning and see them (see photo). We found the hotel very peaceful with ambient noise very low. The hotel is in a great position and allows you to quickly access the Tiergarten Park. Lots of bikes and escooters around to try out. Breakfast was great, however, we felt that service was slow (although very friendly) on the first day, and on the Saturday very slow. This could have been down to a wedding but something the hotel needs to look at from our view. Breakfast apart we very much enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
Dear CharlesvonLondon, thank you so so much for your kind personal review and your lovely recommendation of our SO/ Berlin Das Stue. It is great to hear that you were able to explore the city with ease from our location and your helpful feedback regarding our breakfast is more than welcome. On behalf of the team I hope to welcoming you soon back to Berlin. Kind regards, Dennis

    OUTSTANDING HOTEL, SERVICE & FOOD
Where to start....... Have to start with Felix, the concierge who was outstanding at what he does and a sweet person too. My contact with Felix began way before we arrived and he was extremely helpful with all arrangements. The staff at Das Stue exceeded our expectations and they made us feel like family from the beginning. This is a hotel like no other with fabulous one of a kind contemporary design/decor/art. A magnificent chandelier greets you in the entrance - made of hundreds of ping pong balls its genius and captures our attention every time. Our Junior Suite was stunning and spacious, with comfortable bed, shower and high ceilings. All of our 8 nights were very quiet with no noise coming from the hallway. One special feature of staying here is they have direct access to the zoo by a gate and its a beautiful zoo with lovely paths. We had delicious breakfasts, a couple of lunches & dinners in a stunning design space or on the patio. Special thank you to Felix, Madinai, Riccardo, Julian, Queen, Arian, Tobias, Clifford for making our stay a home away from home. (and anyone I missed whose name I don't have) Almost forgot we used their spa services which were excellent and a good sized pool. The location was perfect for us, as its right next to Tiergarten Park, a beer garden and restaurant right by a lake
Dear carolem, wow! Thank you so so much for your outstanding feedback and the great review. It is more than a pleasure to read that you had a fantastic time with us and that the team was very helpful to you. On behalf of the team I am wishing you a lovely summer and all the best! Kind regards, Dennis

    The living rooms of Berlin
So, finally another, and amuch awaited stay at Das Stue in Berlin. Even tough the jaws of a crocodile welcomes you in the entrance it is a warm and heartfelt welcome. Care for details are immediately noticeable, like the sombre colors, the clever lightning and relaxing ambience, manifested in the personal check in. Never find any complains about the rooms but I would rather have had a Zoo-view which I ordered. But this was a short stay (two nights) so I let it be. Everyone is kind and discreet at this hotel so you can work in a corner without anyone bothering you, except for the occasional question from staff if you will need anything. Breakfast is top notch, however 5€ for each coffee seams unnecessary when you are a returning guest. Regardless of those minor flaws Das Stue remains my favorite stay in Berlin. I will be back.
Dear CCallert, on behalf of the team I want to thank you for your lovely recommendation and your great review. It is a pleasure to read that you had a great time in general. Your additional feedback helps us with further improving our services and procedures. Just like the team I hope to welcome you soon back to Berlin and further convince you of our services. Warm regards, Dennis

This is our third stay in S/O Das Stue… We arrived and did not like our room and despite being fully booked because of the Marathon Felix, Guest Relation Concierge… who remembered us from last year, went out of his way To help! He found us a beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the Zoo! We want to make a special mention about Felix because it’s rare to be treated in such a caring And professional manner! Despite the pressure of a fully booked hotel and the marathon He could not have done more!!! Thank you! In addition … the breakfast is wonderful

My recent stay at Das Stue in Berlin was a perfect blend of contemporary luxury and historic charm. The hotel’s location in a former royal Danish embassy overlooking the Tiergarten Park provided a serene and central setting. My room was a masterpiece of modern design, with sleek furnishings and views of the park. The central location allowed me to explore Berlin’s cultural attractions, from the Berlin Zoo to the Brandenburg Gate. Dining at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Cinco by Paco Pérez, was a culinary journey, with a menu featuring Mediterranean and local flavors. Das Stue exceeded all my expectations, and I eagerly look forward to returning to this elegant gem in Berlin.

Great hotel with great staff. Very nice interior and design in an impressive building. Our rooms were connected with both rooms had a nice view to the zoo and the animals. From the quite large terrasse the view was great and we enjoyed this private space very much The breakfast buffet is great and the warm dish you have to order. Can recommend the eggs, bacon and pancakes. Location of hotel is almost a “secret” and in a very quiet and relaxing area compared to e.g. Soho House or Hyatt.

Great location on the Kurfurstendamm. Great for shopping and as a base for touring Berlin. The rooms are a bit tired and need refurbishing, but the rest of the hotel more than makes up for it. Friendly, helpful staff.

Interesting Hotel with great design and central but quite location directly next to the zoo and the Tiergarten . The staff is very polite and helpful. The room size was good and the view to the zoo is beautiful. Still we had issues with the TV and the bathroom. The Hotel offers several nice features like bike rental and a great pool. Breakfast was good but not spectacular. In overall at this price range and in a city like Berlin with a serious 5 star competition I would expect an impeccable service. This was sadly not the case. Although politeness and cleanliness is extremely important I would expect more. They failed to make us feel comfortable. Nevertheless the Hotel is one of the better choices in the city.

The hotel is as far away from luxury and boutique as you get. It’s an amateur attempt at a hotel. It’s a 3 star airport hotel masked in an old business with some nice design touches. I booked a night stay on my birthday whilst in Berlin via American Express FRH program. Upon arrival there’s nobody to help with your luggage and taxi’s cannot stop easily in front of the building. As I was travelling onwards from Berlin I had 2 large suitcases and I had to leave one in the street whilst raining and return back for it as there’s no porters or any staff in sight. The checkin experience was very poor. They upgraded my room as part of FHR to a room that was supposedly a junior suite which looks nothing like any of the photos they market. It was a badly designed layout with tiny low prison windows which were open so it was freezing. The rooms have a cheap feel for the price. For €500 it’s way over priced. They changed my room to a better room category but the finish and attention to detail is terrible for a new modern hotel (no USB or USB-C ports) weird small doors. The baths are tiny can hardly fit a normal slim person in them so hardly great for a romantic couple or get away. The lobby and design is stylish but badly let down by the service and overall running of the hotel. All the tables had old plates that sat there for hours l, dirty carpets and service took ages. Breakfast was ok but again far away from what you’d expect for the rate they are charging. If it was 50% cheaper it would be an ok-ish place to stay as it’s a quiet area close to the zoo. Don’t expect any luxury, service or anything assembling value for the rate you pay.

Dear Rohan. First of all, thank you very much for your stay at SO/ Berlin Das Stue. We are of course sorry that we could not meet your expectations. Please excuse the fact that none of our porters were available for your arrival. We would like to reassure you that this is absolutely not our standard and that it was most inconveniently the case at the moment of your arrival. As a loyal Finest Hotels & Resorts guest, we have of course offered you all the related benefits. The upgrade you complained about was an upgrade by one category from an Embassy room to a Junior Suite. When this did not seem appropriate to you directly at the hotel, we were also happy to upgrade you by another category to a SO/ Suite. It is a pity that this did not suit you either and that our concept of cosiness, friendly and casual atmosphere did not meet your taste. The whole team wishes you all the best and hopes that you will find the right place to stay for your next visit to Berlin. Sincerely yours. Patrick Füg Guest Experience Operations Manager

We had a fabulous time at this hotel. We had a great room and the hotel decor is very nice - the lighting in the reception is fabulous. The bar was cosy and not too busy with helpful and lovely staff. It's not in the centre of Berlin but by the Zoo and park but was easy to get into the centre. We would definitely stay here again
