We (three backpackers, girls) slept in city bed for only one night. We were first told one adress but when we called him he told us a New one and that we were supposed to sleep there (another hostel called "jet pack"). First we got scared but the owner was very kind and when we found it the room was... More

My friend and I stayed in this hostel for 6 nights last summer. Very reasonable price considering the location at Kudamm. We didn't except anything special because of the cheap price, just beds and clean room, and we were not disappointed. Would have given 5 stars, but will give only four because the hostel lacked AC. It was so hot... More

The rooms are big and the place is quite clean (in fact there is always a slight disinfectant smell hanging around!) Its a hostel so shared bathrooms and showers. All adequate enough. The beds are not exactly luxurious, but will do after a long day. The location is perhaps the best part - its a quiet street, with metro and... More

Shared a 4 bed room with friends - very spacious as there were two bunk beds, large table and long length lockers. Continental breakfast was 4 euros per person and was basic but did the job of filling us up for the day. Great location, close to a train station, eateries and Berlin zoo. The woman on the reception desk... More

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hostel is very small and I counted no more than 7 rooms, as its on one floor of a large apartment block. The room was a good size with a lovely window that opened wide, which definitely made up for the lack of wifi. The shared bathrooms are split into genders and were... More

This was not what we were expecting. The hostel had very little rooms for rent, however the staff were friendly and the room was fairly spacious. It was definitely not like the usual hostel environment I was used to, but it was close to transport and a great shopping district. Personally would not stay here again, just because I travel... The hostel is so much quite clean. It's location is so excellent. it's 5 minutes from the center of the town (KUDAMM ) STREET. BUS 249 STATION IS Infront of the hostel. The breakfast is good as for 4 euro. The room is clean. But the bed is so small and the pillow is so soft. The reception is so... More

The rooms at City Bed were clean, as were the toilets and showers. The location was pretty good as it was quite close to the metro, and there were shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The only issue was the lack of staff; there was no one there when we got there in the evening and no one there in the... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
