We ended up selecting Hotel Artim after problems with our previous booking. The picture on this website do not do it justice - our room was large and at the back of the hotel away from the main street so was quiet and peaceful. The ensuite was generous and shower pressure good. Hotel staff were friendly and polite and they... More

A clean, average stay. Close to the gay district. Very reasonable. Check-in was at 1:30. This is not a 4star hotel, but a clean 3star. There is NO Air Conditioning!! Glad there was no heatwave. The elevator is slow....best take the stairs. Rooms clean, but lack sophistication. Free excellent breakfast. Nice Staff. Bathrooms are small. Free Wifi. An average stay.

Nice big rooms with great bathrooms and lots of space to store luggage and lock up valuables. Room was very tidy, staff were friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. Location of the hotel makes it easy to get anywhere and is surrounded by different pubs, bars and restaurants. We are a straight couple but loved the gay scene and even... More

In general in good condition and clean. The design ideas have not been followed through leaving the place a bit cold and clinical. Bad and hard lighten and a lack of finishing touches. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms which would have been nice in the summerperiod the rooms in the higher floors get very hot to sleep in. The... More

Just visited the artim again this week and it simply can't be faulted! Staff friendly, lovely big rooms, fab location and great breakfast. well priced hotel. not massively luxurious , but clean tidy, and breakfast really lovely. great choice. it is in a male gay area, but everyone we met were helpful and friendly, and we are two ladies in our 60's. the only downside for me was the pillows were flimsy, no support. apart from that no complaints at all. could walk... Amazing hotel for who comes to enjoy the gay scene, The room was beautiful with big mirror and comfortable bed. the stuff was nice and friendly, they help us to get everything we wanted. The location is perfect, close to 3-4 gay bars, very gay-friendly, you just have to cross the road to get inside the Printzknecht - big and... More

Stayed here over a weekend in April. The rooms were nice and clean, and a big bathroom. The view from our room wasn't that great, but as we were spending most of our time out in Berlin, it didn't matter. Breakfast was nice, not the best hotel breakfast I've had, but they definitely had all you need for a decent... More

We booked with Voyage Prive who didn't share that Fuggerstrasse is an openly male gay street with several 'men only' bars, sex toy, cruising and male massage shops all within 30 metres of the hotel. It just wasn't pleasant. The hotel was simply poor. Room no better than ok with various things just not working: plug in bath, mirror, slightly... More

Hotel Artim is located on a quiet street and from there is 5min walk to department store KaDeWe and Wittenberg metro station. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very delicious. Wifi worked very good. There is also many good restaurants nearby.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
