WiFi was very bad and unstable even on lobby. Water temperature difficult to regulate during shower as is keep changing without touching it. Staff at night friendly but staff during day wasn't. Very good location as it's near to two Tram stations and relatively close to Alexanderplatz.

Breakfast was very good and had many choices for all diets. The rooms were basic and clean. Hotel is located close enough to downtown, though it is a little tough to find the first time. It's in a building with other businesses and the elevator was a little tempermental.

Visited for 3 nights with some friends. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The rooms were cleaned every day and looked great! The location was pretty good - 5 mins of walking to the tram station from which you can get anywhere in berlin. The breakfast wasnt very fancy but was deffinitely ok and suited the ptice of the... Hotel Transit Loft has a nice location and overall clean, friendly and peaceful atmosphere. The service level is, however, that of a hostel even though the place is priced as a hotel. It does not really deserve the stars it is getting, in my opinion. The rooms are ok and fairly clean, when the stay starts, but they are not... More

The location on the hotel is okay: near Tramline M4 to the Alexanderplatz. The room is simple but tidy. The breakfast is sufficient, but the coffee is bad and no juices or sweets are served (except on Sunday). Guests are expected to clear their own table. Overall the atmosphere is friendly,

Stayed at the Transit for three nights while a chaperon for a large group of high school students traveling Eastern Europe. I was terrified of the transit. I tend to be a little hotel squeamish and prefer more luxurious lodgings. I was told to be prepared for a very basic hostel-like experience at the Transit. While it was very basic... More

I stayed here with 3 other friends. We decided to book 2 rooms as it wasn't too much more expensive for the 2 nights (instead of us being all in 1 room with 1 bathroom). It's a great location to get around by foot to some nice cafes, cool bars and nice shops. The room itself was ok. My friend... More

It is not a hotel. This place is more like a hostel. But very clean and large rooms. Nice and big bathrooms. Breakfast is just fine. No much variety. Only canned foods and fruits with tea coffee. Location is ideal. Close to city (only 10 minutes trams ride). The only things which I don't like during hot weather no AC... More

We were shifted to this hotel by another hotel because there was a double booking and our booking could not be honoured by them. We were apprehensive because had never heard of this hotel which was in the third and fourth floor. However the family room was very neat and clean, large and spacious, and the breakfast though nothing extravagant... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
