I stayed here on a school trip, and must say it did its job well! The rooms were big and very clean, as were the bathrooms! There was a nice reception area, which had free wifi, which could also be used in rooms! However the food wasn't great! The breakfast was better than the dinner, but was ok for just... More

Near Alexandreplatz, 150 meters from the tram station, with a very good buffet for the morning, warm rooms in the heavy German winter and clean. My only complaint is the lack of tv in my room. Otherwise i would stay again. It is recommended of course. A big bravo to the very gentle people that work there.

We went with our kids, 11 and 14. We stayed in a 4-bedroom - clean and ok beds. Nice windows with a view to the tv-tower. To enter the hotel you had to use the elevator directly from the street - only one available - and it took you directly to the rooms. Didn't feel safe. Ok budgethotel. Lots of... More

We stayed to persons in a large, clean, bright room. There was actually four beds in the room, so we had plenty of space. Breakfast buffet was okay - but not more than that. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Alexanderplatz in what seems to be a rather quiet neighborhood.

This was my third visit here. It is perfect for taking a student group, as I did last year, or for a private family visit, as this was. The facilities are comfortable and spacious. the area is pleasant, safe and with good shops and restaurants nearby, and with easy access by tram to central Berlin. The breakfast is varied and... Had a great 2 night stay. Family of 6 ( aged from 85 - 16) sharing a clean and comfortable room with en-suite. There was a school group staying on the same floor but they were well behaved and quiet at night. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice - cereal, bread, cheese, yoghurt. The only problem we... More

Good price, nice facilities and cosy atmosphere. I'll surely recommend it for at low budget trip to Berlin. The hotel is placed in Prenzlauer Berg - at wundershön part of the german capital nearby Alexanderplatz.

We have just come back from a 3-night stay in this hotel. It was terrific value for money. Everything was spotless, great breakfast, helpful staff, near tram and quite near u-bahn. We especially loved the location. Felt very safe, great cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, interesting buildings and great connections to central Berlin. We would definitely book again..

Great place to see the city, good clean rooms with friendly staff and a great breakfast included. Reasonably priced beers too! The concierge also had good local recommendations for food in the Alexanderplatz area. Would definitely stay here again when I'm next in Berlin.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
