It is not a hotel. This place is more like a hostel. But very clean and large rooms. Nice and big bathrooms. Breakfast is just fine. No much variety. Only canned foods and fruits with tea coffee. Location is ideal. Close to city (only 10 minutes trams ride). The only things which I don't like during hot weather no AC... More

quieter area, well connected to the tram. bright rooms, comfortable and very clean. The very amble personal treatment. I recommend it. Includes breakfast, has WiFi. In the area there are economic restaurants.

We were shifted to this hotel by another hotel because there was a double booking and our booking could not be honoured by them. We were apprehensive because had never heard of this hotel which was in the third and fourth floor. However the family room was very neat and clean, large and spacious, and the breakfast though nothing extravagant... More

Really it is a good choice We got a very good price The location is prefect, only 10-15 minutes walking from city center, and the neighborhood full of nice restaurants The room was really big and the bathroom good enough The breakfast was not bad at all I will repeat the choice again

There were several school/youth groups staying while we were there. Being a converted factory you can hear the noise from everywhere in your room. It got quiet(ish) from about 4am to 6am. Whether people were in the common area, their rooms or running and shouting up and down the corridors (we could hear them on the corridor above too), we... More

- Rude staff - No means of entertainment provided, despite its description stating that there is 'many leisure activities available' - Barely edible food, much of it was cold and appeared uncooked - Cleaners stole possessions from rooms - Rooms were not cleaned (beds weren't made, bins weren't emptied, towels weren't replaced etc.) - Communal area seemed unhygienic and was... I stayed here on a school trip, and must say it did its job well! The rooms were big and very clean, as were the bathrooms! There was a nice reception area, which had free wifi, which could also be used in rooms! However the food wasn't great! The breakfast was better than the dinner, but was ok for just... More

Near Alexandreplatz, 150 meters from the tram station, with a very good buffet for the morning, warm rooms in the heavy German winter and clean. My only complaint is the lack of tv in my room. Otherwise i would stay again. It is recommended of course. A big bravo to the very gentle people that work there.

We went with our kids, 11 and 14. We stayed in a 4-bedroom - clean and ok beds. Nice windows with a view to the tv-tower. To enter the hotel you had to use the elevator directly from the street - only one available - and it took you directly to the rooms. Didn't feel safe. Ok budgethotel. Lots of... More

We stayed to persons in a large, clean, bright room. There was actually four beds in the room, so we had plenty of space. Breakfast buffet was okay - but not more than that. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Alexanderplatz in what seems to be a rather quiet neighborhood.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
