Great stay. Super clean and even better that myself and 2 friends received our own dorm, having that extra bit of privacy was great. The location was decent too, being right beside a train and tram was super convenient. Highly recommend.

We booked a private room with private bathroom. Well this didn't happen. We were moved due to school kids taking up the entire place. And you room was booked by teachers or something. Didn't get a refund for the room stuff up. So that was a bit rude. Staff didn't seem to care either. Beds are tiny and make so... More

Stayed here for one night with friends. we booked the private room for 6 which had 3 bunk beds. rooms are of good size but the bathrooms are tooooo small. towels & toiletries are to be paid for. however the price seems to be a lot more for a hostel. front desk were very helpful , this is also close... Pretty crappy place, but the most affordable place i could find- guess you get what you pay for. Was more expensive then what hostel bookers advertised once i arrived. Gross Bathrooms. Loud groups of what seemed to be high schoolers running around the hallways. My biggest issue- All of the lockers were broken. Had to carry around a bag with... More

To sleep in is fine, but if you look for a hostel that makes you feel home, it's not the one. It gives you the feeling of a fabric. There is no special charme or anything like that. Also from what we have seen (our room and common rooms), though the hostel is clean but still very scruffy. They should... More

First night was just bearable Second night was a disaster the building has an old vide like hospital or prison..always noisy...bathroom showers could be better. small and cramped. everything is designed to get extra euros out of you, towels, locker, tea coffee, beer when bar is closed. staff just going through the motions.. it seems well setup for groups of... We were lucky to get private rooms. It was like a hotel but cheaper and more sociable. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helped us with suggestions of bars etc. The station is nearby so it's easy to get around Berlin.

The hostel was remarkably cheap and the staffs were very helpful. The rooms were well kept and tidy and the bathrooms were always clean. By far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Went on a stag weekend; the rooms were fairly basic but clean enough and did the job. Toilet/shower could have been a little bigger and better but otherwise beds were comfy and staff were laid back. Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
