could be a little loud at times because the train station is right there, but that is also a great benefit of the location. You are able to connect to any line and get anywhere in the city! I didnt mind the extra noise. Met some really lovely staff that went above and beyond to make me feel included & comforted after a long time away from home. Special thank you to the bartender, his music taste made me feel all that much more at home ;) Room were incredibly clean and the atmosphere was overall amazing. thanks again guys :)
A pretty good place to stay. We had a twin room which was pretty nice and clean, and in many ways felt like a normal hotel room, exept for the shower, which was rally bad. The staff was very friendly, but the whole space was pretty basic and barren. I'm sure the outdoor area is really nice in the summer, but it felt litte run down right now. The beds were a little hard, but ok.
I've stayed in some varied places including a number of hostels, but unfortunately this was the worst I have experienced. Really expensive for what you get, but with a short notice booking, options were limited. Given a bunk bed in a twin/double room (issue 1) in an incredibly bare room. No wardrobe, table, chairs etc - just literally a bunk bed. Shared toilets/showers were often in poor shape and smelled. Huge groups of school trips shouting, running around and keeping us awake until 2am every night - staff didn't do much to stop it. Teachers apparently were staying on completely different floors so the kids were having a great time. Lots of poor and broken facilities, smoke alarm removed from the bedroom, handles broken and doors slam really loudly. Finally, no access allowed to a kitchen - and no food allowed. on site. Crazy! And all this for 80 euros a night. Terrible stay and terrible service unfortunately.…
Very big hostel. Recently constructed, but the rooms are very basic. As a hostel we didn't mind the basic rooms, but there is a lot of noise as the doors slam by the door pump. A lot of teenagers of course who want a cheap place to sleep, just like we did. But you can imagine the noise in the late evening because there were a lot of big (school) groups. Breakfast is also very basic with 2 types of cereal, 2 types of sandwiches and jam and some ham and cheese. If you want a cheap place to sleep and you can sleep through noise and don't mind a basic breakfast, this is a good place. But if you want some minimal comfort you should check another place.
No guest kitchen, no curtains, no bathroom on our floor, many things are broken or closed off... They were renovating, but kept the price the same, even though everything was cramped and dusty. If you have no other place to sleep, it is acceptable
Drunk people, noise, dirty bathrooms and bedrooms, bad staff. Bathroom full of poop and piss. Bedroom woth drunk people making noise and wanted to fight with me. It was terrible and the staff don’t give a fck.
The hostel was not like dirty but I wouldn’t say it was actually clean either. It’s a okay for a one or two night stay but wouldn’t recommend it for longer stays. It has very good tram and train connection 20 minutes and you are in the city Center. But price is very good!!
Despite waiting 2 hours for clean bed sheets and walking into our room to find a man crying over a heartbreak this was a great experience! The beds were big and comfy and there was a generous space in your lockers which were very secure and the best we had in our 2 weeks around Europe. I can’t comment further on the room situation as we were out till 8am both mornings so probaly only got 4 hours sleep between both nights (we slept more on the train to Prague than in the hostel!) all the facilities were nice and berlins nightlife is great!
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, but they did not immediately give me all the info I needed (for example, they did not tell me where to find the sheets, where the bathrooms were, or what time breakfast was served; I had to ask directly). On the last 2 days of my stay there was a problem with the luggage room,. The staff tried to help but unfortunately they could do nothing except kindly offer to keep my luggage behind the reception desk. Other than that, it was overall a good experience :)
Sheets were dirty when I checked in at 6pm, they had not been changed. It took a while to speak to staff about it, because there is almost always a line for check in. Then staff was abnormally obstinate/weird/aggressive about giving me a fresh set of sheets, or resolving the issue themselves.
