I cannot fault the circus apartments. We were given a lovely welcome on arrival and were delighted to be given an upgrade. The penthouse apartment is stunning with an amazing roof terrace with great views over Berlin! The location of the apartments is fantastic in a really nice part of Berlin with a local vibe but so easy to get around with great tram and u Bahn links.
During our stay both of our kids were unwell and the staff were so helpful finding an available English speaking dr for us and providing additional towels and bedding as needed. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

I just came back from a 4 day holiday in Berlin with my family of 4 with two children (11 and 8). We stayed in a two bedroom apartment in the Circus Apartment. We had a very warm welcome from the staff in the concierge. She recommended us a nearby street for dinner and typed it into the map app on my phone. The apartment was very spacious. There was a lot of room and storage for us to store all our belongings. There was a safe in the wardrobe in the children's bedroom. There were two bathrooms, one with a bath and the other a shower.

The location was very central and close to U Rosenthaler Platz with U-Bahn and trams. The hotel welcome pack we got via email told us to get the airport express to Alexanderplatz and change from there. However, there wasn't any train direct from BER T1 to Alexanderplatz! We can't speak German so it was an interesting experience trying to figure out which train to take. (If we know a bit of German, we'd know what Berlin Hauptbahnhof means). I'd recommend anyone visiting download the BVG info app. It plan routes to go between any two stations in Berlin. We downloaded it immediately after we arrived in the apartment. It would have saved us a lot of hassle if we had the app at the airport.

We were there during a cold snap with daytime temperature of about -5C. There was sufficient underfloor heating in the apartment and we didn't feel cold at all.

There was a lovely cafe on the ground floor of the apartment building. There was also a EDEKA supermarket nearby. It has fresh bakery in the morning. We bought bread, cereal, yoghurt and milk for breakfast, and stuff to make simple pasta for dinner there.

Thank you very much for your review Sylvia, feedbacks are always good to receive, moreover when they are really positive! We are glad that you liked your apartment and felt comfortable in it, we make our best. True, Berlin public transports can seem complicated at the beginning but once you get used to them, they work really well - and we are always there to help with that. We would be very pleased to see you again at The Circus Apartments. :) Greetings from Berlin.

We stayed here for 3 weeks in July, it was our second visit. We've stayed in both a back apartment, and one at the front overlooking the street. I preferred the front apartment even though very occasionally you heard street noise, or a buzz from the cafe below. The windows are double glazed so unless it's really hot, this wouldn't be an issue. It was slightly smaller than the back one, but more gemutlich (look it up!).

The apartments are really nicely decorated, with quirky artwork and good use of colour. They're very spacious, with balconies and are well laid out. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom cosy. The apartments are very clean and the cleaner did a fantastic job.

The location is perfect, in a quiet street but only a short walk to transport (train and tram) and loads of amenity, cafes, bars and restaurants. And it's close to the Volkspark.

I celebrated my birthday in Berlin and the Circus folk gave me a lovely surprise with a bottle of bubbles and some beautiful flowers!

The people who run the apartment are great, really helpful and friendly. They made our visit even more enjoyable. Thank you Ilaria, Richard and Natascha. We hope to return next year.

The regular communication from the concierge (in our case Maria) was a lovely touch, from the moment we booked the apartment. On arrival I was a bit disappointed that we were on the ground floor, as it meant we couldn't have fresh air at night. As we were staying in January this did not turn out to be an issue. The apartment was superb, spacious and with nice welcoming touches like local chocolate and coffee. It's also right next door to a cafe, which we didn't eat at but was nice for a morning coffee before our day's adventures. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked breakfast each day. The apartments are a 5 min walk to the u-bahn station, but are also central enough that you can be at Alexander Platz in 15 mins. There are lots of cosy bars and restaurants in the streets around, which seem well used by locals in the area.
Would also recommend a visit to the brewery beneath the Circus hostel in the next road.

We stayed for 4 nights at the circus apartments. And it was excellent. Large, clean and very well equiped apartment (60 m2 for 2 persons). Friendly and helpfull staff. Ecellent location near multiple public transport stations (u, tram, bus) so the rest of the city is within easy reach. You can walk also because the main attractions are between 1 and 3 km. You can rent bikes as well but we didn’t do that because of the weather. Everyting you need to cook a nice meal is there but in case you are looking for somebody else to serve diner there are a lot of nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. Will definitely stay here again when in Berlin.

This apartment was beyond our expectations in the spaciousness and amenities. Anything you need is in this apartment. Excellent place to stay for a family or a large group traveling together. The staff was so much help letting us know our options for travel to the apartment from the airport and arranging a taxi for us upon our departure. The taxi was there as we had asked. The staff we interacted with were so welcoming to us, they are all great!!! I would definitely stay here if I come back to Berlin!

The team at The Circus Apartments were perfect. They were there right from the booking. The apartments are easy to reach, 5 minutes from the metro. Upon arrival Richard accompanied us to our apartment and provided us with every possible information. The apartment chosen was very large with a large French window that opened onto a tiny balcony. Very bright. The rooms furnished with taste and efficiency. The kitchen and living room are equipped to perfection, equipped with tea and coffee. Bathroom with shower and one with bathtub, equipped with body care products. A café next to the reception for a possible breakfast with a vast choice of sweet/savory foods and a very courteous and knowledgeable staff. The place is beautiful, but the people make the difference. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

I have been staying in dozens of different hotels, apartment hotels, Airbnb in Berlin for years. What makes The Circus Apartment Hotel different than all the other brands is the quality in detail. It was my first stay at Circus, probably I will never search for another place to stay on my next visit to Berlin.

I admired the hospitality at Circus Apartment. Greeted at reception like an old friend. All the organizations give you precisely this feeling. You are at home!
This is the perfect space for anyone who wants to have a taste of what it would be like to live in Berlin. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and clean.

I was hesitating to write a review because I wanted to keep Circus apartments a secret just for myself, so I can get a booking whenever I need one. :-) I travel to Berlin quite often and stay there every time, as it's unbeatable in terms of location, cleanliness, size, parking, full kitchen, quietness, friendly service and value for money. They bend over backwards and always respond quickly. You can reach them by Whatsapp anytime if there is an issue.

Hi Geoff, thank you for your email. From Schönefeld Airport you can either take a taxi or public transport. depending on the traffic both takes about 45 minutes. The closest subway station to the Circus Apartments is U-Rosenthaler Platz. From there it is 10 minutes walking. For breakfast you have plenty of options in the area. From traditional German to modern healthy food and French style breakfast you can anything in walkling distance. I hope to welcome you as our guest in the Circus Apartments or the Circus Hotel. For the booking keep in mind that you have the best availability and the best price when booking direct on our website. Kind Regards, Karen

There's a 'kaiser' supermarket about 200-400 meters away. It's a big supermarket with a good variety and it has a bakery. I bought in this supermarket a few times. In addotion, there is a bakery in front of the nearest underground station.

Hi, I assume you're referring to the most suitable accommodation in the circus apartments. My wife and I traveled with our one year old so our apartment was a one bedroom with a living room. You will probably want an apartment with more bedrooms. Each room in the circus apartments has a name instead of a number and we stayed at the "musterman" room that faced the street and from which we could see the television tower which was nice. We ordered through booking dot .. and at the end of our stay we were told that we could have saved some money (130 Euro) if we would have booked directly. I advise you to consult with the hotel staff in order to (1) find the most suitable accommodation in this hotel and to (2) get a better deal compared to using a third party website. I recommend this hotel very much and would likely go back again in the future. I hope my answer was helpful. If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask. One more 'tip' when traveling in Berlin and in general: We used Google maps (in our smartphone) to get directions using the public transportation and it saved us a lot of time and effort. We bought a local sim card to have a 3G network connectivity. Berlin has many types of public transportation (buses, trams, underground, trains etc'..) and using Google maps' directions you'll get to places faster. Udi.
