As a solo female traveller on my first hostel experience I was a little nervous, but the place is secure, the staff friendly. The beds were very comfy and linen provided. Modern bathroom and nice bar area downstairs. Plug was right next to my bed top bunk. You can hear the s-Bahn but that's to be expected as it's right...

All over OK. Everything is decent but the Wifi did not work properly. The hang out aread is huge and offers possibilities to work with a laptop. Everything is quite new but the details do not convince.

Well, the hostel itself is prety good and clean. Staff is nice. But if you come back at night you might mit feel safe as a girl. Also the hostel is advertised to have free wifi, which is simply not true. That is a nogo in the 21. century.

the hostel was nice for the price, clean the beds were metal, which for me is a lot better than the usual wooden ones you find in most of the hostels. there wasn't enough storage space in the room (4 beds) and every day you have to ask for the new password for the wifi

Dear Gabriela, thanks for you nice review. We are happy, that you have enjoyed your stay in the 2A Hostel Berlin. Indeed, we still try to fix the problem regarding the wifi, this should be repaired as soon as possible. For sure, there would be more space in a double room than in a 4-bed-dorm, but if you need much...

I think this hostel was the cheapest option that I found in Berlin and it was really comfortable. Nice hall, nice workers. But if you are planning to use a shared room please think it that is the cheapest option and the rooms are always full of people from different ages. I think that Neukoln is a good location but...

Dear Melanie, thanks for your nice review. We have realized the problems regarding the WIFI and try to fix the problem. The 12 hours can be splitted on your own as you need the time for the WIFI. We would be happy to welcome you again in the 2A Hostel. Kind regards, 2A Hostel

At our disposal are private lockers in the rooms, kitchen, laundry. The rooms are neat and pretty, bathroom large and clean, free wifi, you can buy breakfast. I would recommend asking the rooms located on the city side and not the side of the tracks.

This hostel is clean and staff are friendly. Stayed in six bed dorm and en suite was nice. Runs along train lines which makes it very noisey if you need windows open. Location is not very good but can get trains easily to centre.

We stayed in Berlin for a week in a 6 bed dorm. The room was always hot and it was very difficult to get to sleep, there is a fan in the room but this didn't circulate the air at all. We also couldn't open the windows as they seemed to be locked shut. Kitchen was also a little dissapointing,...

I was suprised by the very clean and comfortable rooms. I stayed in a mixed 6 dorm room. It had a lot of space and its own bathroom. The beds where comfy. The staff was really friendly and helpful. You got a free wifi code so you could use free wifi for up to 12 hours. The hostel is located...

The hostel was okay for the price that we paid, but when we arrived we had some problems with reservation that the boss and staff nicely solved. Big thanks to Claudia and the guy that was usually working with her but I never had the chance to ask for his name. They were very helpful about things to see in...

Staying in Neukolln

Neighborhood Profile
Neukolln
No Berlin neighborhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as "Little Istanbul." Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
