Stayed in this hotel in beggining of november 2016, and its location is perfect for access to the city center, popular tourist spots, shopping, and eating out. Very nice and clean hotel, and ideal for relaxation, as the name suggests. I would stay here any day anytime.

A great hotel for a city break to Berlin. Just around the corner from Checkpoint Charlie and within 15 mins walk of the Brandenburg Gate. U-Bahn and S-Bahn links are also convenient. We stayed in a standard twin room which was a good size with comfortable beds - nothing to fault here. We chose not to have breakfast or dinner...

Nice enough if you want to explore the area between Potsdamer Platz, Check Point Charlie, the Jewish Museum, Gropius House and Unter den Linden/Brandenburger Gate. Quiet area, keeping in mind this is Berlin. Two minutes' walking distance to Anhalter Bahnhof (two major S-lines passing through there). The green tree-area of Topografie des Terrors is right in front of the windows....

This is our regular hotel for trips to Berlin. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and speak English (apologies to the staff for only having a little German and my poor pronunciation!). Rooms clean. Good location - very close to S-Bahn and walking distance to Potsdamer Platz (10 mins) and Tiergarten/Reichstag (20 mins). Always hosting conferences for German businesses which...

Been there twice. Clean rooms, very good location, friendly staff. Price/value OK. Hotel restaurant is very good and reasonably priced. Rich breakfast with vegan options. The only flaw was lack of air con in the room.

We stayed here for 3 nights to run the Berlin marathon. It's a nice hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great for us, just a mile from the brandenburg gate and a few steps to the nearest station. It was near to many of the sights. The hotel...

We (early 30s, Californians) stayed in Berlin for the first time for 3 nights to do the tourist thing. The Relexa was amazing. Large room (especially by European standards), very clean and well maintained hotel and room, the in-house restaurant is surprisingly good, the staff was immensely polite and helpful. The hotel is slightly outside of the major tourist sites,...

The hotel is in a reasonably good location (20 minutes walk to Brandenburg Gate) and is well-serviced by the S Bahn. Breakfast was very good and staff were all very helpful and friendly. The main criticism I have is that the bed was very uncomfortable and I found it difficult to sleep on such a hard mattress. The air conditioning...

I stayed here as part of a business trip for two nights. The location of the hotel is really great as it's extremely close to an S-Bahn station so you can travel around the city with ease. Getting from the airport was pretty straight forward too. The area is rather businessey so isn't necessarily the best for tourists, but there...

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
