Excellent location on Ku'dam in a very safe and lively area. Specious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, quiet despite the room was facing the Ku'dam street, Great value for money. Close to the Famous Savignyplatz, and to public transportations.
Much enjoyed my (second time round) stay at the Hotel Mondial. The rooms are very comfortable, have all the amenities & lovely little touches like a bedtime sweet and the cute hotel bar is open till 2am.. The breakfast buffet is FANTASTIC and to round...More

The hotel may be a little older, but it does have a lot going for it.
The rooms were clean, the facilities reasonable, staff were friendly and helpful.
The wifi was a bit weak and flaky, but that's a minor point.

Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.

Not sure if they can but in Berlin it is not really necessary. You will find many taxis waiting at the airport and the ride should be less than 15 minutes. Cost can range from 9-15 Euros depending on traffic.
