I stayed here for 3 nights, it's was my first time in a hostel and to be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. It's was clean, looked good and was quieter than I had expected at night (which was great). The micro brewery in the bar was a cool addition and the homebrew was really good. Theres a... More

The hostel was really good. Very clean and comfy. The breakfast it was really good for the price. You have a market right accross, pharmacy and restaurants nearby. The tram is in front of the hostel. It's a quiet hostel if you would like to party but come back and have a nice sleep, I'll definitely recommend.

Very nice and big room on the 1st floor, clean, huge bathroom (compare to an European standard), also quiet even our window was to a patio, double glass on the window helps a lot, need to be patient with the elevator is only one and some times is very busy, nice lobby to hang around, read or surf the internet... A very lovely hostel with a good location, not far from the city centre. A brilliant bar in the basement of the hostel which provides a good night life. The hostel staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast included at a small additional charge.

Lovely hostel, everything was so so clean and the staff so friendly. The bar downstairs was v cool and a great way to start the night. Location was excellent and so close to tram stops and the underground. We stayed in a 12 bed mixed dorm which was a great way to meet other travellers. The Cat & mouse cafe... More

We stayed here for three nights while exploring Berlin. We really enjoyed the Mitte neighbourhood, there were plenty of reasonably priced, delicious restaurants nearby as well as good access to transit. All the staff we came into contact with, from reception to the cafe to the bar, were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in the 2 bedroomed apartment as a family of 4 - an 11 and 10 yr old. The Hostel is very easy to find; close to two tram stops and the U-Bahn - the M8 goes direct from Hapt-Bahnhof to the Hostel. Reception were very helpful and friendly on arrival; speaking good English which... More

This place can't decide what it wants to be. After traveling for a while we were really looking forward to having a kitchen to prepare our own food in. Only to be told they don't have one. I suspect this is because they run the cafe next door and want everyone to eat here. They also don't have a laundry... More

This was the second time I stayed at circus hostel. It is the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed at. The staff are friendly, both the private room and 4 bed dorm were new and clean. Beds comfortable. The location is amazing right out the front of the metro but also close to the restaurants and unique shops of Prenzlauer... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
