I was only there for 2 nights. I was in a 4 bedroom, the beds were comfortable, we each got our own little space (bring a lock, they have this box looking thing by your bed that you can put important things inside and lock it with YOUR OWN lock) WARNING: There was NO air conditioner in the room, the... My Stay here was pretty decent. The place was neither particularly good nor particularly bad. Highlight of the place was easily the beer that is brewed in the basement! However the bar is quite small and lacks a good vibe.

Booked an apartment. I was a little confused as I thought I had booked via the hotel. I was worried about what I would get at the hostel location after I figured it out. Anyway, very pleased with the apartment. Good security and private floor for the apartments. If you don't miss a tv and daily housekeeping, this is a... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. I stayed in 4 bed dorm. Hostel is very clean inside and out. Location is good. Right outside the Hostel is a bus stop and subway station. Will recommend this to my friends.

POSITIVES: Clean rooms, mostly friendly staff, great for meeting people, free tours, good wifi, location, safe in my room. NEGATIVES: Stayed in a double room on the 4th floor. It was stinking hot all the time but luckily I had a fan. I spoke to people who stayed in dorms and they didn't have fans and they really struggled with... More

I recommend : Quite good for a younghostel in a capital I was in this younghostel for one week and it was cool. I've met there interessting people. It was quite clean for a younghostel. They have a room for your luggages downstairs (with key code), it cost 2e per day or 0.40e per hour. You could also put small... More

I stayed here for three nights in August. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm and it was lovely. It was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff always accommodating. I'm a 30-something solo traveller and found it was a perfect hostel to stay at in the heart of the city. I would absolutely stay here again or recommend anyone... More

This Hostel is well situated for getting about and seeing everything Berlin has to offer. The Hostel is clean, bright and vibrant and the staff are really helpful and friendly. I was worried about security when I discovered we were staying in Hostels but there was large lockers for storage and small next to the bed. The Hostel has its... More

I stayed in August, and it was a busy busy period, there were plenty of activities the FOH staff were more than happy to share when checking in, and the Hostels own micro brewery made it easy to head down and meet some new people. The Hostel also had two types of walking tours on offer, and month to month... More

I stayed here with my Daughter. We had a twin room with private bathroom. Great size rooms and very clean. The breakfast was very good value and good quality. It has a great relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. I am normally a 4/5 star hotel person but after this great experience I will be staying in more hostels.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
