We stayed in Sylter Hof for 3 nights and all we can say is that we will stay in this hotel every time we come to Berlin. First of all location is great (bus 100 stops almost in front of the hotel), reception stuff was so polite and spoke english very good, wi fi was perfect, room was just as...

Hotel is nicely located, it’s easy to move around the city and near Zoo, Aquarium and KaDaWe. Suite is very comfortable - a bit outdated but clean and roomy. And bed was excellent. Everything worked well. Coffee/tea facilities in the room and breakfast was very good. This hotel is worth visiting. Price is reasonable.

Hotel Sylter Hof is well located with a wonderful staff and a powered Wifi. There are a great offer of taxis nearby but you ask for taxis during cold days at the reception desk. Bed are very good as well!

We stayed in February 2017 for a couple of nights with two adults and two teenage children. Comfort rooms were good value. Large clean rooms, very comfy beds. The breakfast buffet was worth the price, lots of food options available including hot breakfast, continental, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. Good location for station from the airport, about a 15 minute walk...

Spent 5 nights at this hotel on a mini-break to Berlin with my teenage son. We had booked a Suite via booking.com, and the room was perfect (room 146). Great view towards the KaDeWe and the Mercedes building, with lovely sunsets. The bedroom had 2 single beds, and we paid 25 euros to have the kitchen equipped with crockery, cutlery,...

Really impressed by the way, the reception welcomed on Check-in. The location is perfect with prominent shopping centres, Shopping Streets, Theatre, Car Hire, Eating Joints - all within maximum 2 miles of walking distance. I was a little disappointed from the "Single Room" size which turned out to be way smaller than expected - my 28" luggage couldn't even properly...

If 5 Star qualities demand, value for money, an excellent location, excellent in-room facilities and welcoming service, then the Hotel Sylter Hof has them all and how. Front office willingly explain to you the convenience of a bus stop just outside the hotel door. Use the app on your smart phone of bvg.de to easily navigate on Berlin's efficient and...

Location is really very fortunate - 100 bus stop is 10 meters away, Q-damm and KaDeWe are within 10 minutes walk reach, Zoo station is slightly farther, but close as well. Staff is friendly and ready to help. Only disadvantage is that without some renovation hotel looks like and feels a bit like Soviet sanatorium / pension. But since it...

I found this hotel lacks basics. I was traveling solo so was put into a room with a king single at the end of the hallway. The internet kept dropping out and i had to constantly sign in. The bathroom was outdated, no soap in packets or shampoo and conditioner. I was only provided with an all in one. There...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
