My brother and me spent a weekend in Berlin and wanted to stay near Kurfürstendamm. For this central location you cannot expect cheap prices. But for the money I was still disappointed. The room was not dirty, but also not too clean. Paint peeled off the walls at a few places and minor things were somewhat broken, like the door hinge of the wardrobe not working properly or a power socket sitting loose. The service was very nice though. Friendly staff and keen to help without being intrusive or persistant. It wasn't an overall bad experiece, but the costs for this kind of room was too high. For arty people it might be better than it was for us. There were many pictures (by artists and of artists) an generally there was an artsy vibe in the hotel.
I booked and clearly advised that I was concerned about changes . Literally the night before my area became a subject of quarantine so was unable to travel to Berlin. The hotel took the Money which my bank reversed. Tonight I am back on the phone as the hotel has re taken the money. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and now been documented has fraud. Avoid this appalling company as completely unscrupulous, #covid nasty people
Many times visited wonderful Berlin, stayed at several hotels in different price categories, from 3 to 5 stars. Never booked the Art’Otel before. Since Germany was just one of a few getaways during Corona, we took a little road trip through Germany, and of course, we could not leave out Berlin. Booked this hotel at a very reasonable price of €64, for two including breakfast. Parked our car in their ‘private’ garage (€20). The ladies at the reception were very pleasant and welcoming, as well as the breakfast staff (both the (Spanish?) guy and girl). Breakfast was offered during our stay as buffet only once, the second day it was served a la carte, well-run and organised, even better! The room, #317, was decent in size, clean, bright, comfortable beds and bedding, a functional bathroom with a good shower and really enjoyed the hairwash/bodylotion, very fragrant. Small fridge and coffee/tea facilities included. Due to Corona, it was really quiet at the hotel, very unfortunate for all hotel chains.... concerning price/quality ratio, I have to give this 4* hotel 5 stars. We even booked 2 more nights, for the same price. €64 per night for 2, including breakfast and friendly service, where’s that to be found? At the Art’Otel Kudamm! We sure have got a new address.... …
Spent there three nights during the COVID 19 spread, room was decent, a bit old fashioned but well maintained. Although the carpet is a bit old as you can notice perhaps a bit of carpet smell, however it was clean. Tea ams coffee facility provided. Breakfast is rich and you will enjoy the variety of selection. Location is good but not great. A few min walk is Lidl supermarket and few restaurants and bars.
The Artotel is a design hotel in Berlin. The rooms are fine, with normal luxury. Further friendly staff and nice breakfast facility. In the surrounding of the Kdam are very luxury brand stores. Andy Warhol is hosting the hotel.
