We traveled as three adults. The room was efficiently laid out but offered enough space for all and plenty of storage. Especially appreciated the wall of windows that provided natural light and a sense of greater space. The room was very quiet despite being in a busy area with trains coming and going. Check in went fast, but there was little information shared. The breakfast buffet was great, but expensive. We were not aware of a 3 euro discount for pre-ordering till AFTER paying for the breakfast. The breakfast space is promoted as a family game room but be prepared to RENT the games. The hotel is well located just steps from the Zoologischer Garten train station. There are shops and restaurants in walking distance. The hotel features an elevator, but stairs are wide and not too steep. We only used the lift to move large luggage.

Really nice hotel just a stone's throw from the Zoo Station. Room was perfect; very clean and bright (kettle/tea/coffee would have been nice though!)
Staff were friendly and fortunately for us spoke English perfectly. Lovely roof-top terrace with outstanding views and a nice garden out back.
We skipped breakfast as a bit pricey however loads of restaurants nearby as well as supermarkets offering fresh bakery and coffee.
Great location with loads to see in this part of the city, half hour walk to Brandenburg Gate and easy access to all Berlin from the zoo station.

Huge room with very modern amenities. Shower was slightly hard to work and get temperature right but other than that an amazing stay. Lovely bar downstairs, relaxing and great atmosphere. The luggage room was great with your own private lockers to keep things safe, only downside was that they were hard to work and some of them just came unlocked.

Location is amazing next to the Zoo station. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. We skipped breakfast as it was a bit pricey but there are lots of great pastry shops and supermarkets close by to have breakfast.

I stayed here for 2 nights and was very satisfied with the experience. Situated just a 5 minute walk from Zoologischer Gardens station, making it very easy to get round the city. Staff were pleasant and check in was easy. I was on the 5th floor and the room was quite big, with a good sized bathroom as well. The room was very clean, as was the whole of the hotel. There was a pleasant bar area, with a small terrrace and reasonably priced drinks. Parts of the hotel do look a little dated but nothing to complain about. Overall, a very nice hotel and one definitely worth considering if you are planning a trip to Berlin.

Best I can say; it’s clean and the beds were acceptable. But our room “upgrade” from a 2 person room to a group room for 6 with bunk beds made it feel like a dorm room. No nice couches to sit on and only clean, sterile white walls. Not at all as charming as the pictures make it seem. The Wifi reception & coverage was also horrible in our room. For the price it was acceptable but no more than that

We stayed at aletto Hotel Kudamm for 4 nights. The location is absolutely perfect next to Zoo Bahnhof. Nice and modern hotel where we stayed 5 persons in one room, which we couldn’t at many other hotels in central Berlin. Good breakfast and a great roof terrace with a wonderful view. Very nice and helpful staff. Many great restaurants in the area. We could park at the hotel, and there is also a parking garage very close to the hotel. The price was also very good. We’ll come back another time. Five very well-deserved stars!! 👍👏🏻

Brilliant value for money. The rooms were basic but clean with plenty of space. Staff were friendly and helpful, giving us a city map and directions/hints and tips for the attractions. Huge dining/drinks area downstairs, vending machines in reception with snacks/drinks/beers. Perfect location, half an hour or so taxi from the hotel and the train station is across the road. Very pleased with our stay, would definitely recommend.

Pros: Location

Cons: Very small rooms even by Berlin standards. Our double bed was crammed into a corner so one of us had to slide out of bed by moving downwards!

Expensive breakfast. One could and should easily walk to one of many good cafes in the area with much better views.
Parking is limited and not covered.
Air conditioning is quite poor.
Staff are young and don’t seem to care. Not much knowledge of the surrounding area. Best to use Google Maps on your phone.

Overall: Hotel accommodation is pricey in Berlin but please give this a miss unless location is all important to you.

This hotel was a great find; reasonable cost and a clean, decent sized room that was very comfortable for my night in Berlin. The staff are great though. I was checked in by the wonderful Adi, who was charming, funny and extremely helpful.
The hotel is close to the zoo and the relevant station and also close bus link to Tegel Airport. Schonefeld was about 40mins away on the R train.
This was perfect for what I needed out of a brief stay but wish I were staying longer.

Hello. Do you provide complimentary tea & coffee? Is there a hairdryer and towels?
Answer from Gina P
Milton Keynes, United Kingdom125 contributions54 helpful votes
There wasn't tea and coffee or even a kettle in the room (or available to borrow). Definitely pack your own kettle! If you're not eating breakfast there, it's hard to buy tea/coffee in the hotel, so I went across the road to get one in the morning.
