This is my choice when staying in Berlin for work because of the location and nice rooms. Most rooms are overlooking the beautiful Dom which gives a historic atmosphere. The rooms on top floor are even better with also a small balcony for the warmer months. Haven't tried breakfast here since I prefer going to one of the many small... More

Stayed here for two nights over new years with my wife. The hotel is in a perfect location for getting around. We actually walked to all the sites around Berline but the U is right outside the hotel if you choose to that route. We enjoyed being right around the corner from the large Christmas market which was quite enjoyable.... More

Booked in March so was a little disappointed with the view we had, brick walls. That aside it was great, I suppose it was quiet because of view. The bathroom was excellent, lovely shower. Location is a real plus next to thevlargest chocolate shop and near U2 subway, good restaurants closeby and near one of Christmas markets. Would definitely return.

This boutique hotel just moments from the main Christmas market and easy walking distance to many of the other must-see tourist attractions is well worth a visit. The staff are friendly and charming, the decor is very stylish, and every comfort in the rooms has been provided. Staff will happily bring anything else you need to your room. The beds... More

Lovely hotel with friendly reception staff, the room was very modern and clean and breakfast had an amazing choice esp as I am a very fussey eater. The hotel is right next door to the famous chocolate shop which was a delight! highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is adjacent to a beautiful square with many restaurants. Could walk to most major sites. The room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and worth including in your booking as not many cafés open on a Sunday.

This hotel is located adjacent to Gendarmarkt, one of Berlins most beautiful squares. It is easily accessible by public transport. The hotel is small with limited amenities but is surrounded by all types of restaurants and bars. The rooms are small but well decorated and equipped. In fact the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept... More

I stayed with my wife in the hotel, mainly for business but also to enjoy a few days of relaxing. We had the penthouse suite at quite reasonable rates with a fantastic view of the city. The room was not big but due to having plenty of windows that was never a problem. All in all a quite nice hotel,... More

We were not expected to go to Berlin. We quickly decided to find a cheap 4/5-star hotel, on Hotels.com, near Branderdburger Tor. So we chose this one. We came at about 11 o'clock in the night to the hotel. When we came to the room, the minibar bottle of water was nearly empty. Then, we got a new one for... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
