Stayed at LebensQuelle with my family in July 2016. The room rate was very good and the location is close to most attractions in the city center. The staff were friendly enough, though not ebullient. Our room was on the 4th floor, which is the limit of the elevator. If your room is on the 5th floor, you will need...

I recommend this hotel although it is very basic first for its position. The staff is friendly and willing to help you. Rooms are located at the fourth level of a block but are clean and tidy. the breakfast is not very rich, but I think they are enhancing the service. The price is ok for that position and for...

Standard hotel, comfortable and clean, staff are nice and helpful. not the most convenient for city centre tourist attractions unless you don't mind walking a bit it's about a 10/15 minute walk to checkpoint Charlie and from there you can get u bahn to main parts of the city. there is also a u bahn station 5 minutes walk away, but that brings...

This is a very basic hotel. No ice, no clean towels, and unfriendly service. It is a decent price for a centrally located hotel with breakfast. However, the cleaning was questionable. We were missing a panel for our blinds and it doesn't get dark! There is construction across the street and the street itself is pretty noisey. All of this...

We spent 2 nights in a twin room. At arriving the receptionist was really unkind. The room was uncomfortable. It was in the 5th floor. There are lift only until the 4th floor. In the small room were 2 beds. The mattress was very thin and we can feel the wooden part of the mattress base. Terrible experience. But really...

Located centrally, this hotel offers a budget experience but offers high levels of customer service with large rooms which are very clean and quiet. Offers a very varied limitless buffet breakfast and a small mini bar in reception. The major tourist attractions are all within a 20 minute walk, the airport is about 20-30 min by cab or 35-45 min...

A group of 4 of stayed here! Our room was massive. We couldn't believe it. It was so clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also very big with a great shower. The staff were helpful and we walked most places from our hotel so it was a good location. Wifi was fantastic, it never went slow or...

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
