My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on a trip to Berlin. We found this hotel good value for the money paid. It wasn't spectacular, the room was compact but clean, and was missing the little touches such as coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly, and the bar service in the evening was efficient. The hotel is well placed for underground access and therefore easy to reach all of Berlin's attractions . Overall a pleasant stay.
Brilliant location, brilliant staff so friendly and helpful. Bedroom compact and everything you need, hairdryer, toiletries, hotdrinks,no problem with size of quilts, perfect, very comfortable beds and pillows and slept better than at home. Shower amazing power and hot. All of hotel spotlessly clean. Breakfast even better than expected, about 12 different breads, cheese, hot breakfast too, scrambled eggs best ever. Lovely part of Mitte district, near tube,Akexanderplatz, walking distance of all the tourist attractions. Can't fault anything about this brilliant hotel and highly recommended and I will be back. Thank you to everyone at this hotel.
The location of this hotel is perfect! a 2 minute walk from Spittlemarket underground meaning very close access to public transport. One thing I would suggest though is not to follow directions from Google like I did as it will take you to Moritzplatz and it's a good 15 minutes walk from there, best way to do it is to get the S9 train to Pankow and get off at Ostkreuz and get the underground from Alexanderplatz U2 in the direction of Ruhleben or Olympiastadion, You will need to exit at Spittlemarket (3 stops) when you get off the underground at Spittlemarket exit to the left as you get off and the hotel is situated just a short walk down the street. This hotel was comfortable and cosy, I stayed in a standard single/Double room and whilst they are small they are ample big enough for what you need it for. I don't know about everyone who is complaining the rooms are too small but when I go away I literally only want a place to sleep and shower, I don't want to spend hours in the hotel so it was perfect. The room was very clean, the bed super comfortable and there is a TV with various channels, only 1 in English which is sky news but again I don't go away to watch TV so that was plenty to catch up on the news back home for 20 minutes whilst getting ready to head out in the morning. The staff were super helpful and friendly and will help you with anything you need. There are hand sanitising stations in reception and masks are worn in communal areas. Housekeeping will turn over your room if you leave one of the door tags on there but for a short stay of 3 nights I didn't think this was necessary. Some things I noticed people complaining about on other reviews: Noise - yes it can be noisy but it's usually only a door closing (they are very hard to close quietly no matter how hard you try!) and with international travellers turning up at various times then this should not be unexpected. I can't really say it caused me any issues! I have had worse noise in a beach holiday hotel! It's not like people are partying all night. WiFi - it would seem the higher up the building you go the weaker the signal. I was on the 6th floor so the WiFi did keep dropping out but again this was not an issue for me as my phone plan covers me abroad and I was their for leisure not for business so had no reason to need the WiFi! Single duvet on the double bed - yes I got a single duvet but I was a solo traveller so again not an issue for me. If you ask reception they will organise anything extra you may need! They can't do enough for you. Overall for around £40 per night I could not fault the place. I had seen hostels costing more than that! If I go back to Berlin I will definitely be staying here again no question about it :)…
Stayed here for 3 nights in sept 2020, the hotel is following good hygiene rules, with masks to be worn in all public areas, and loads of hand sanitizer for everyone to use. If you need extra towels etc you have to collect from reception as house keeping are kept to when you leave only. Stayed in a twin room, the size was ok. It the bathroom was a bit on the small side. Good location very close to Spittelmrkt on the U2 line which suited our needs. Breakfast was good with a nice selection of foods to set up for the day. I would stay here again.
At around £50 per night, the Titanic Comfort Mitte is a great option for those on a budget. I stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be of a great standard. All the staff were very friendly and spoke great English. I had a problem with the hotel overcharging me on payment at check in, but this was quickly fixed when I notified the staff at the reception and the money was back in my account within 3 days. My room was clean and well stocked. Although the room was a bit small, as it was just me and I was only in the hotel to sleep at night, it didn’t bother me. Due to covid-19 measures, my room wasn’t cleaned while I was staying there, but this wasn’t an issue for me. There was a nice selection of channels in lots of different languages on the TV. The shower had a great pressure and was always with hot water. The only problem with the room was that the walls aren’t very soundproof and on my last night there was some drunk people coming back that were quite noisy and they woke me up. But for the price you pay, I think this was acceptable. The wifi was a bit hit or miss, but it’s free and easy to use. As I was on the ground floor I didn’t have a view but all the more reason to go out and explore Berlin! I pre-paid for the breakfast buffet and found the food to be delicious, hot and filling. There was a great selection for all types of people, especially nice were the pancakes. You have to wear a mask while serving yourself at the counter, which I thought was good since the hotel was looking out for the health and safety of the customers. There were lots of tables available to sit at and I didn’t have trouble finding one on either of the days I dined there. The staff were very attentive at restocking the buffet and cleaning. The location is excellent, the U-bahn station of Spittelmarkt is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and it’s just a 5 minute journey to Alexanderplatz. Also close by is Brandenburg gate, the Holocaust memorial, the East Side Gallery, Museum Island and Checkpoint Charlie. There’s also lots of nice restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, my favourite was the tapas restaurant on the same road. There is also a nice coffee shop near Spittelmarkt station, and a Lidl supermarket nearby if you want to buy any snacks. Overall, I had a really enjoyable stay and a great experience of Berlin. Thank you to all the staff, they are a credit to the hotel. Definitely recommend!…
