This was a great hotel and a great location for work but then also for seeing the sights. I would definately stay here again and reccommend it to friends. The staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Service was wonderful, location was amazing and incredibly convenient, and staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that the rooms were slightly too warm at night. Breakfast being delivered to the room was a wonderful service provided :D

My second stay at Hotel Alexander Plaza was a success. Comfortable and clean rooms. The location is wonderful; close to the S-Bahn and trams at Hackesher Markt, steps from Museum Island, many, many boutiques and restaurants within walking distance. Would not think of staying anywhere else in Berlin.

Arrived in Berlin for the first time on New Year's Day around 3pm. The hotel is only a short walk from the train station and relatively easy to find. The hotel is nice and very clean with spacious rooms with full height windows overlooking the street. The staff were friendly and helpful when ever needed and we will definitely be...

We had booked a family room for a couple of nights and upon arrival at the hotel we were upgraded to a suite, which was very much appreciated. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location is good and the transport links are all within a few minutes walk. Breakfast was good but a little chaotic on the second day,...

My husband and I recently went to Berlin for a romantic break and we can highly recommend the Hotel Alexander Plaza. It is one of a few hotels in a small German chain and is run with true German efficiency. All the staff spoke English and there was a good mix of nationalities staying at the hotel. We stayed in...

All round from the moment we arrived, this was poor. The staff are rude, the breakfast was crap, the hotel was dreary and a pungent smell greets you on arrival. The hotel is off the beating track but has the benefit of office workers being able to see in your window. Stay away!

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
