After traveling Europe for a few days the Hotel Alexander Plaza was the perfect hotel for us. Located right by Alexander Plaza it was close to lots of public transportation, the TXL bus from/to the airport and a lot of historical sights. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 3 nights and had a nice room on 6th floor. First night the room was freezing and after trying to work out why realised window had been open - this was not obvious and room staff should have checked windows were closed. Room was good with everything we needed and beds very comfy. Breakfast was not as good...

The location is great. Stayed here one night and they did not make up the room - at all! We were out all day until 2PM but despite cleaning staff being on the floor, no one made up our room. Returned jet lagged at 2PM for a nap, put a sing on the dore and woke up to leave for...

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Alexander Plaza. The staff were some of the friendliest I've experienced across Europe - the man who took care of us gave us so many tips and places to eat and was an all round charismatic guy. The location is so central in town. Its about 8 min walk from the main train...

The Alexander Plaza is a lovely hotel in the centre of Berlin. The hotel was very pleasant to stay in, with good sized rooms and all the facilities you would need. They supplied a kettle on request so we could make tea in our room, and cups and saucers! The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was plentiful. The...

Clean, large rooms. Quiet and safe surroundings within walking distance from public transportations and Alexanderplatz. Very friendly and helpful staff. Did not have breakfast at hotel but there are several cheap alternatives within a couple of minutes walk.

For a reasonable price you can sleep in the center of Berlin in an very well kept very huge old building, that obviously has been nicely remodeled at some time in the past. Flair and an elevator ! That's all we austrian-US ex-pats need. High ceilings, huge new windows that are soundproof ! A good water pressure in the shower delights...

All the staff made it a pleasant experience and attentive efficient Reception staff. Breakfasts were very good and pleanty of staff re stocking he buffet and clearing up. Didnt use the Sauna/fitness room it was a bit cold in there. The only down side was the pillows were too soft with no pillow choice.

I didn't expected I would have found such a bad overall quality in this hotel: comments were generally positive. I stayed just one night but it was enough. The room was not so clean: the moquette really dirty and very old-style, in the batbroom I found a used dirty towel on the shower. General impression terrible. Then my room was...

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
