Good location, 50m from Friedrichstrasse station, just under the railway bridge. Couldn't hear trains. Beds were comfy, pillows were terrible (as we had read in a previous review) but were replaced after the first night when we complained. Room was clean and of a good size, good breakfast with hot and cold buffet available. The Reichstag was a 15 minute walk...

The hotel is situated right next to the Friedrichstrasse railway station which is one of the main hubs. We found it easy to get from Tegel Airport by public transport (one bus, one train, about 30 minutes) - the the BVG travel planner is easy to use. Most of the main sights and shops are within a 20 minute walk....

Stayed here for 5 nights on my first visit to Berlin. The location was superb, next to the Fredrichstrausse station and within walking distance of the main tourist sights. The hotel rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Would stay here again.

First of all, i´ve stayed at this hotel before. And i regret that i choose to stay here again, sorry to say so. But the service level dropped a whole lot. At check in, everything was ok, until i wanted to change rooms, suddenly the attitude of the staff changed, they were not even busy at the moment. But i...

Stayed here with my wife whilst I'm a weekend break to Berlin. Absolutely brilliant location, right next to one of the main subway/train stations and only a two or three minute walk from the main heart of Berlin. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food. Room was very spacious and modern, spotlessly clean and...

I was there for four nights. My trip was for leisure. The hotel is in a perfect location next to the S Bahn and multiple restaurants (try Peter Pane and The Block House). Also, a 5-10 minute walk to the German History Museum or boat tours on the river. No noise from the S Bahn. Service, staff, and room were excellent....

Stayed for 3 nights, we had two rooms - a twin and a double. Both rooms were nice and modern and clean. Beds were slightly in the firm side and the pillows a bit hard. Bathroom nice and large. Breakfast was a large buffet, prosecco available at weekends which was a nice touch. The food itself was nice, but could...

I had a business meeting in the eurostars in march 17, two nights. Very nice and quiet room, good facilities, I had two dinners at the hotel restaurant, with kind service and good food. Then... I asked to rent a bike to visit Berlin: the receptionist told me that the concierge is open only in the morning (it was 3...

Stayed for 3 nights on first visit to Berlin. Great staff, great central position, clean big room, very good breakfast. Would stay again. Only 2 negatives. Only one UK channel which kept freezing. And the thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was the noise all night from overhead machinery, we were on the top floor.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
