Ich bin ein Berliner and my husband and me decided to spend Christmas in Berlin. We didn't regret the choice of this hotel. Amazing, warm service surrounded our relaxing stay on this very central place in old city center near KaDeWe. And I could relax after weeks of hard work. Breakfast is wonderful and lobby was very cosy prepared for...

Hotel is really excellent. Breakfast was delicious, sauna and pool were great, rooms were comfortable, and stuff was incredible. Rooms are spacious. Hotel is located close to all the nice stores, across the street from the Zoo and the Aquarium. There is a shopping center next door. Hotel has three different restaurants. The people working in this centrally located located are great - attentive, friendly, communicative. However, the Hotel isn't my idea of 5 stars - fittings in my room were a bit old, curtains didn't really block out the light, the room lighting wasn't really adequate, really dark, and there were very few electricity sockets for charging phone/ laptop. What really irritated...

A great hotel with impeccable service. Not only did they recomend a restaurant that i greatly enjotyed, they also called them and booked a table for me as a matter of course; -I didn't even need to ask them to do this. Hotel room was nice, spacious and modern, as was the bathroom. Great pool/sauna/spa facilities allowed me an enjoyable...

We got a good deal on this 2 night 3 day break for this 5 star quality hotel. The staff were excellent. They could not have been more helpful. We were upgraded to a large room. It was in an excellent position, close to the train to the airport, the hop on hop off bus (which was brilliant value for...

I'm spending a week here for business. The room is large and comfortable (though the bed is somewhat hard). The hotel is almost directly across from the Berlin zoo. The zoo and aquarium are across the street and to the left, less than a block away. Also only a few blocks away is KaDeWe, the largest shopping mall on mainland...

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
