No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists
that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in
the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip
crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,

We just spent 5 nights here, and booked it due to the location in Prenzlauerberg. It is not centrally located though, and doesn't have much to offer in the immediate surrounding area. The rooms were good, we had a double and a 3 bed room. There was enough storage space, bathrooms

Dear Kaapkind, Thank you very much for staying with us and your review of our Hotel . I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us in principle. Especially to read your comment about our comfortable room was a big pleasure for me. We regret that your expectations regarding the location of the hotel were not met. For shopping we could have recommended Schoenhauser Allee Arcaden , 10 minutes to walk. We will also discuss the breakfast times in the team and make the necessary changes. We wish you all the best for the future Kind regards from Berlin René Hager General Manager Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East Prenzlauer Berg

We booked this hotel as it was central. There was a tram stop outside the hotel. Public transport cheap and easy to use. We requested a three person room. It was clean and spacious. The staff were helpful and there were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It is not a fi

European Hotels are modest and offer minimal comfort but this hotel has taken it to another level of cheap offerings. The rooms are sparsely supplied and have minimal facilities. We had to go out and buy our coffee as the supply was minimal.

I fully agree with last two reviewers - the staff here are friendly, helpful and accommodating (especially during 4 days we were without luggage)! The location is perfect, close to tram and walk to a couple streets for food & drink.

Hi, How much is the breakfast in the morning? Thanks.
Hi The breakfast is reasonable at Holiday Inn but you will find a wide variety just across on the many restaurants around the place. Options are so numerous that you will find it best to go out. We had it as part of the room rate.

I’m coming to Berlin in March and staying at the holiday inn. Whats the best of traveling to the hotel and generally around Berlin, does anyone ever get a travel pass (if that’s a thing)? Thanks
Dear Vicki, thanks for your enquiry. The ticket choice depends on where you are starting your berlin trip. Are you flying in? Or are you arriving by train? If you are landing in Berlin Schönefeld (SXF) you need an ABC ticket, because Schönefeld is in the C-Zone of Berlin. If it is Tegel (TXL) you ony need an AB ticket. How long are you staying? Usually a daily ticket is a good choice, but if you are staying für 48 or 72 hours there is also the Berlin Welcome Card, which might be interesting for you. With this ticket you also get up to 50% reductions at many sights, theatres, museums etc.! Another alternative is the Berlin City Tour Card. Please contact us again and tell us where you are arriving and how long you are planning to stay in Berlin!!! The regular daily ticket is available for 7 up to 7,70 Euro, it depends on which travel zones you need. The Berlin Welcome Card is available from 19,90 Euro for 48 hours. Unfortunately I cannot put in any links here, so please start your search engine and search for Berlin Welcome Card or BVG (Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe / Tickets), which is the webiste of the public transport here in Berlin. Both websites are also available in English. You can get all these tickets also online as a print out under the category tickets. We also sell travel tickets at our reception. So if you are not sure, take an Ab or ABC regular single ticket (for 2 hours) to get to the hotel and we will help you when you are checking in. It would be great if you'd contact us again, with a little more information it would be easier for me to help you! Warm regards from sunny Berlin Franziska Ewert Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East

What way would be the best way to reach the hotel when traveling from the Berlin central bus station?
Hi Danielle, thanks for contacting us. The best and also fastest way would be to use the public transport services. At ZOB (central bus station) watch out for the green S, that's the sign for the S-Bahn. You'd only have to get into the S Bahn with the number 42, after approximately 20 to 25 five minutes, you'll reach the station Prenzlauer Allee. Afterwords its a less than 4 minutes walk to the hotel. This site might also help. Please search for BVG, here you'll get any possible connection towards S Prenzlauer Allee, there are varioous possibilities :)! Unfortunaltely i cannot put in any links. I hope that this information will be helpful. Looking forward to your check-in, enjoy Berlin!! Have a save trip! Sunny regards René Hager General Manager Holiday Inn Berlin CIty Center

Is the "deluxe king bed" room big enough?? I see pictures on here but haven't got a clue whether they are Standard, Comfort or Deluxe rooms. Do they all have the two single sofa chair or just the deluxe rooms?
Thanks for your request, dear MissT90LDN! Our standard room has a size of 20sqm, with 2 beds or 1 double bed or 1 queen size bed. The comfort room is 5 sqm bigger and situatetd in the upper levels of the hotel, the deluxe room has another 7 sqm more. How many persons are travelling? The deluxe room is definitely the biggest room, but usually the standard or comfort rooms should be good for a short city trip. Only our deluxe rooms have two single sofa chairs, the other rooms are equipped with only one. I hope this information was helpfull, if not, please do not hesitate to contact us again. It would be great if we could be welcoming you soon in Berlin! Kind regards, René Hager General Manager Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East

Do all rooms have a hair dryer? My bag is stuffed already so I'd like to know if I should really bring it.
Dear Ghislaineislief, thanks for your enquiry and sorry for the delayed answer! Yes, all rooms do have a hair dryer. There are several other amenities in the room, like cofffee and tea making facilities. You can find more information on our webiste in the category rooms, unfortunately i cannot post a link into my answer! You don't have to bring your hair dryer!!! There are also several shops, sunpermarkets nd drugstores just a few meters from the hotel, just in case you have to unpack some more things ☺ Kind regards from Berlin René Hager General Manager Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East
