A functional hotel in former East Berlin. The room was basic with rather hard beds but adequate space to spread out. The breakfast buffet was great in a German way. The area is very pleasant. The immediate neighborhood is residential. There's a very funky area with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. On the other side, the Warschauer Strasse station... More

Spacious rooms and very clean. Very kid friendly and easily accessible via public transportation although not in the center of town. Delicious breakfast with lots of food. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises. Would definitely recommend.

5 mins away from Warschauer S ban station. Its in a good location, The rooms are basic, think Travelodge but nice, clean and quiet. Plenty of choice at breakfast. It has a good bar that serves cocktails at not too dear prices and the food in the resturant are surprisingly good, really they are worth trying, there are also some... More

Hotel situated on the East side. Not the prettiest area, lots of graffiti and fly posting. Close to rail links. .Hotel very clean, Good size room. Had breakfast and there was a good choice.Small cooked selection, Could have been warmer. Unlimited coffee! Friendly bar staff but a bit pricey. Did not have evening meal in hotel. Very good Italian restaurant... More

Overall this hotel is pretty decent, it's not the prettiest and our views were of a carpark, but it was comfortable and I suppose not bad for the price. I actually really enjoyed the neighbourhood, despite the fact that it's a bit run down, there are hippie types everywhere and it's not clean and pretty but this has lead to... More

Had a wonderful time at the Christmas markets, the hotels location brilliant, breakfast plentiful with lots of choice. Kevin on reception was the most helpful person I have ever come across, even coming outside to speak to the taxi driver for us, Rooms are large warm and inviting, had to ask for a kettle but they did supply one. Didn't... More

The hotel is in Friedrichshain, a nice neighborhood in the eastern part of Berlin. Our group of friends didn't arrive at the same time, when the second part arrived the lady at the reception was a bit irritated when they arrived. Other than that the room was very nice and the bathroom very clean. Breakfast was very good, a lot... More

We've just returned from a four-night stay in Berlin. We have no complaints whatsoever about the hotel. The room was relatively spacious and very comfortable, the staff were all polite and friendly and the unlimited buffet breakfast was delicious and far too tempting from a waistline point of view! The hotel is well located, within easy walking distance of Frankfurter... More

We stayed at this hotel on September 21st and 22nd and our experience was very good. The room was a good size and nice and bright with windows that opened. It was very clean and had plenty of fresh linens. From the moment we checked in the front desk clerk was amazing. He supplied maps, transit tickets and answered all... More

The neighborhood gets a bit sketchy at night and you gotta take the tram to the main part of the city where the tourist sights are, but the tram stop is very close and there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The rooms themselves are nothing short of awesome, and having the included breakfast buffet was very nice. Highly... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
