Hotel Luc is conveniently located near the Bebelplatz, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburger Tor, and other Berlin sights. We went to Berlin for the Christmas markets, and it is only 2 blocks from the Gendarmenmarkt, one of the best Christmas markets in the city. It is a well-appointed property with spacious and comfortable rooms. The restaurant has a nice bar with accommodating service for nightcaps. Check-in was sit down and we were offered a glass of champagne. My only nits are that the carpeting in the room looks a little worn and had a few stains and the mattresses were too firm and uncomfortable. Memory foam would have been nice! I also wish they had more English-language TV channels besides news stations. When factoring in the price (about $250/night), this is a reasonably priced option for the area. I would stay again. …

Dear aschie30, Christmas time is a very special time, especially with the current low temperatures, the great Berlin Christmas markets are welcome - here you can warm up with a hot drink or satisfy your hunger with a bratwurst - the recent snowfall has certainly only enhanced the experience at the Gendarmenmarkt Christmas market and made for a beautiful setting. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed the service from the reception to the restaurant and that we will be able to welcome you again soon if Berlin is on your travel itinerary again. aschie30, we are pleased to note that you would have liked more English TV channels and are looking into this internally. As you can imagine, we have guests from different countries and try to offer suitable channels to everyone. So we thought the re-vamped Sofitel maybe a place to try. We took a Queen room for €241 per night and stayed for four nights. They took the payments upfront and also another €400 in case we used the mini bar or hotel facilities (this wasn’t explained on check in). The theme is Prussia so lots of blue. The room was clean with good facilities, however there was half a wardrobe of hanging space and two high shelves. So no where really for socks, jumpers, underwear etc. I went to reception to ask why my check in costs were high and the receptionist then told about the charge. I then also fed back on the room and the receptionist was clear (and haughty) you have taken a Queen room (read cheap) and that was the designers choice. They did quickly respond to my comments on not enough coffee pods for us both to have the same strength. In all credit to housekeeping on day three an IKEA chest of drawers did appear in the room, this was a good effort but will not solve the design fault. On check out we ensured we asked for our monies back, and said it was unusual to charge in case we bought a drink. The second argumentative receptionist told us that he travelled a lot and this was the norm in Europe. So it’s a clean hotel, the area is under refurbishment. The offices on the inner square really do look in on the rooms. Housekeeping are great. Reception is not good with feedback. Not enough storage and ensure you have the capacity on your credit card for €50 a night a person. We’ll not be back but they did try with the chest of drawers - thank you for that…

Our guest rooms are each equipped with one or more closets, allowing guests to store their personal belongings. Depending on the size of the room or kind of room category, these are either larger or smaller. Therefore, some room categories are more suitable for a longer stays than others, not only because of the closet, but also because of the room size as such. Please contact us in advance so that we can advise you accordingly. Depending on the occupancy situation, it is also possible to change the room category on site by a small surcharge. The satisfaction of our hotel guests is particularly important to us. We were happy to arrange additional storage space for you, although this could not be done immediately after your first overnight stay. Nevertheless, we hope that you will be able to use it. We would like to thank you for the positive way in which you have responded to our approach. In hotels that have a minibar in the guest room as well as the possibility of room service and the use of the restaurant, it is a common practice that the guests' credit cards are authorized/blocked with an additional amount. If this amount has not been used, it will of course be canceled immediately. We regret that you are not aware of this procedure and that you have been upset by it. Exceptional hotel. Modern, fresh, exquisite decor, great shower. What I especially liked was the dining menu- contemporary and not boring. Also we liked to listen to the story behind the name of the hotel- it was a funny part. Very nice, easy and welcoming staff should be definitely mentioned as well.

just returned from an AMAZING stay at hotel luc in berlin. from start to finish our 3 day stay was perfection. the rooms are spotless, the spa is very private and brand new at this boutique hotel and the customer service is outstanding. from the welcome drinks, to the email correspondence before and after our trip, most of this was due to florian, although all of the staff at this fine hotel were lovely! do consider opting for the balcony upgrade it is worth the extra cost, because the views are really what make the hotel great in addition to everything else I mentioned. also if you have any questions regarding dinning, tourist activities ect the front desk are super helpful. the drinks from the bar and the bar staff are so friendly, also the food looked amazing, next time I cannot wait to try the restaurant. metro, shops all close by. excellent location. We will be back for sure. thanks again to florian and the luc staff for making our trip so memorable. the only change I would have made was I regret booking only 3 nights at your hotel out of my 6 night trip. bonvoy members take note! you will be treated well at hotel luc…

I highly recommend the Hotel Luc in Berlin. Wonderful, walkable location. Beautiful, unique decor. The room was beyond comfortable. The front desk staff along with the restaurant staff are exceptional. Our biggest plus was the spa on the top two floors. With all our sightseeing and 10,000-17,000 steps a day, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing there each night.

My wife and I just completed a two week vacation in Germany, Austria, and Croatia. Regarding accommodations, Hotel Luc was the best by far. The hotel is elegant and comfortable, and the location is within walking distance of all the Berlin sites we visited. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the French and German “doms” (Gendarme square). The receptionists Emma and Poline were especially welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful interior design. Very comfortable beds. Small gym, but with all necessities and yoga room. Bonvoy Members get a free welcome cocktail which is a nice surprise. Overall very friendly staff and nice atmosphere, but we had to wait at the bar for our drink a bit, which could be improved.

Beautiful property that looks and feels brand new. Thoughtful design that fits in well with the city’s historic aura but very modern and sleek. The staff was incredible. Got a complimentary suite upgrade and they were so accommodating and friendly. The breakfast that was included was terrific and one of the servers, I believe his name was Miercle, couldn’t have been nicer and more attentive. Everything about this hotel was incredible, especially the location. This is a must-stay property for anyone in Berlin.

We stayed here twelve years ago and loved the hotel. It has now changed hands post COVID and been renovated. It now exceeds our expectations. Superb location for seeing this city. Modern smart stylish furniture and fittings and most important outstanding staff. This hotel is a gem. The restaurant and bar is first class; excellent menu and great cocktail bar. We will be back in’28 and will absolutely stay here.
