We stayed there for two days, and it was a pretty nice experience. The room was clean, and had everything we needed (including internet). Our room had a nice view (5th floor). The breackfast was included in the price, and it was very good (the dark bread was amazing). The only downside was that the guy at the reception was... More

Cheap, cheerful, friendly staff. Decent breakfast thrown in, with spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious rooms, and it's a no-brainer to stay here. Views from the sixth floor outstanding. Be sure to visit Dr Pong, the bar which is a five minute walk away. The location is also great.

Considering the amount I paid to stay here this was an excellent hotel. The rooms whilst small had everything you really needed and were always very clean. (Based on a previous review I was worried the rooms would be cold which I was when I walked in. This was promptly solved by turning up the heating on the radiators). Breakfast... More

This was a great hotel for many reasons. It was easy to find and within walking distance of many diverse restaurants and cafes. There is so much history in this part of Berlin and wonderful wall illustrations. Very beautiful churches and parks and every street is interesting.

I have been there year ago on a business trip. Hotel is very modern, minimalistic, rooms are simple, spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and functional. Hotel's staff is extremely helpful and kind. Breakfasts have many different options to choose and are fresh and tasty. Location is perfect because u-bahn and s-bahn stations are in close proximity to the hotel.... More

Visited November 2015 for a long weekend with a friend, and was extremely impressed with the quality of this hotel, considering the very reasonable price paid! Room was basic but very clean and comfortable, bathroom was great (brilliant shower!), staff were friendly and extremely helpful and the continental breakfast was also very good quality, with many options available. The location... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and would stay here again if coming back to Berlin and looking for somewhere a little cheaper and with good connections. The hotel was clean, modern, and with simple furnishings. I had a twin room, rooms seemed to be quite small but with everything you needed - there was a desk with stool in... More

I stayed here for three days this week as group leader for a group of ten blind students. The hotel was well located, away from the city centre but on the number 10 tram route. It is situated exactly on the path of the Berlin Wall. The hotel was perfect for our needs. The rooms were spacious and with enough... More

From the moment we arrived, the staff were wonderful and friendly. They were able to help give directions and even printed our boarding passes for free with no hassle. They spoke good english which is a bonus since mine is only GCSE German level. I have to commend the breakfast staff. They were AMAZINGLY efficient! There was no bowl half... More

You can hear everything from the rooms, so much noise during the night. The receptionist was a guy who barely speak English. It was so hard the communication since, apparently, he didn't know anything. They made the charge to my card days before, and they request to pay everything in advance . Honesty, I think is better to pay a... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
