We had the Penthouse Prenzlauer-Berg for our family of two adults, 3 children and a toddler. The two bedroom apartment was very spacious, with basic self catering facilities including cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer, essentials with a number of children to cator for which helps keep the costs low; and with a fussy toddler, allowed us to cook some basic meals... We were in Berlin for a hen doo and after a few days of partying we had booked these apartments for some downtime and sightseeing, and boy oh boy were we happy with our choice! The apartments were all stunning especially Albeniz that slept 8. Two toilets, beautiful big kitchen with a large table so we could cook up some... More

Dear Jennifer, thank you very much for your most generous and kind review. We are trying to keep all of our guests happy, a task that is not always easy to achieve, due to the different expectations and timetables each one has. Therefore, we would like to thank you also for your understanding regarding the children's noise in the morning... More

Found 'm through AirBnB, the appartment was quite nice and very decent, 3 rooms with 2 beds, spacious and fine. Als a big living room. Location is great, WI-FI good enough, it's clean and well outfitted. Good for a couple of days! Minor downside is the bathroom with a bathtub shower :( and just 1 toilet for 6 guests, located... Old Town Apartments is located near Berlin's city center. Only a minate away from the Rosa Luxemburg subway station you can get to anywhere you like very easily. The apartments are equiped sufficiently to make the stay comfortable. I'll happily recommend OTA to anyone.

I spent 3 nights there with 2 friends. The apartment was very spacious and clean, and the guys in the reception were very helpful. The only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 points is the stairs. The apartment was located on the third floor and there was no elevator...

Huge apartment, plenty of space, lots of shopping nearby, and an easy walk to the u-bahn / subway! Alexanderplatz is within walking distance too. Excellent value for the money. Next time I'm in Berlin, this is where I will stay.

We went to Berlin for just one night, 5girls and one guy. He said we looked like crazy kids when we entered, running and screaming of excitment and he just stood there, amazed by our behaviour...! This place is worth all the excitment and the screaming you have in you, everything was perfect, from the location, to the staff, hospitality,... More

The location is amazing, really well connected; but the wifi was really poor. We had to use our 3g data to work. So not really good for business stays. The apartment was clean and they had a hairdryer.

Booked through OTA-Berlin. Absolute pleasure to deal with this organisation from start to finish. We arrived early (after an overnight train from Munich), were able to leave our bags with the OTA team. They provided us with guidance on what to do before we could get into the place. Handled our enquiries and provided great support. The biggest issue we... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
