Stayed in a triple room with our teenage daughter. Not a huge room but ample space for luggage and clothes. Wet room shower room with hairdryer. Breakfast was excellent. Efficient staff frequently replenishing the selection of breads, meats, fruit, yoghurt and hot food. Small bar area which was a peaceful place to end a busy day of sightseeing. Hotel on...

Overall impression is smooth efficiency, We were a party of four, and found the hotel ideal. Smooth check in and out, very clean inside rooms and in public places. Impressively quiet, so surprising to see hotel quite full. Location great, s45 from Schoenfelt to Templehof and u6 to Stadtmitte just around the corner. Easy to use underground for sightseeing, and...

Situated at a very good location, Gat Point is near the most popular sights of Berlin. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice with a really nice light concept. It's not the most amazing hotel I have ever been to, but it's a fair price for what you get. Didn't try the breakfast as this seemed to be...

This hotel was perfect for our Berlin city break; good, quiet location within easy walking distance of attractions and cafes. The rooms were nice, shower was great (very important I always think!) and staff were helpful and pleasant. My friend wanted to practice her German as much as possible and the reception staff were really accommodating and helpful to her....

Spotlessly clean hotel. Rooms cosy, comfortable and practical. Rooms serviced daily. Staff informative, helpful, friendly and have a great knowledge of the city. There's a fabulous delicatessen across the road on the corner of the main road which is good if you don't have breakfast in the hotel. Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the underground system but the hotel...

Whilst the hotel is reasonably basic it offers pretty much all you would require for a city break in Berlin. Reception staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean , tidy and more than adequate. Only downside they did seem to get a little hot and this being in January.. and with no heating on ! The location...

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
