We were attending a very large conference at a nearby hotel which offered delegate accommodation at an outrageous price, so we looked for a cheaper option. We got a very adequate room at Motel One at a third of the so called delegate rate of the other hotel. I have stayed at a number of Motel Ones hotels in other... More

I love this Motel one! All of them really, I also stayed at the Kudamm one. The price in terms of the quality is just unreal. 69 -89 Euros for this is just incredible! The hotel is very nice, amazing lounge area to chill or have a drink. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. Love the 'fake' fireplace in... More

Love Motel One but this is the best ever. Natascha at the bar is worth five stars on her own! Great room, Great shower, perfect hotel for a solo traveller, rooms are only small if you spend your holiday in them:)

The Motel One is well located, just South of Tiergarten, a few minutes away from the metro and some 20 min walk from the central Postdamer Platz. It’s a nice hotel with a modern and cosy reception area (nice bar). Rooms are rather small but comfortable. Ok for a short stay. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful.... More

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying in this hotel, we arrived early and were checked in immediately. The room was small but very clean and adequate. The bathroom was ideal. The hotel is near to all attractions. The staff were super friendly without being intrusive. The bar down stairs was wonderful and the seating area outside was... More

Was in Berlin for a very short time and this hotel was in a great location, close to u-bahn links and within easy walking distance of Tiergarten station. The room was small, but very well designed with a very comfortable bed. The room was very quiet too and as I'm a light sleeper this was very appreciated. The bathroom was... More

I was here for 6 nights, the rooms where nice and kept clean to a very good standard. Would have been nice to have water & coffee facilities in the room I am not a breakfast person but like a coffee to wake up instead of going down stairs. Free parking in the under ground would be better for guests.... More

The German government placed 10 of my colleagues at this hotel for a recent conference. The motel chain policy (repeated in other countries) is to offer rooms without telephones (a security and convenience problem) and extremely small rooms. This is for the 'modern'/inexpensive hype being marketed. Front desk staff are rude and uninformed at least 50% of your encounters. This... More

Dear Motel One Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
