Stayed here for 3 nights and will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Berlin + Great location in Mitte + Free 24 Cafe, Awesome Breakfast, Honesty Bar with great range of drinks + Attention to detail - everything in the hotel has been carefully hand selected - Feels a little pricey for Berlin

Stayed 5 nights in late April as part of a multi-city European trip. Berlin was our first stop, and we couldn't have been happier. The room was spacious, spotless, and we loved the walk-in shower and big counter space. Two of us could actually get ready at the same time! We got a special rate that included breakfast, which was...

One of the best boutique hotel we've ever stayed. Eight days in Berlin, a very nice place - 10 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz, and in a upscale region of Berlin, the Mitte. Outstanding and cozy rooms with all the necessary comfort, silent, a place where one can feel really at home. On the ground floor and with direct access from...

I stayed here on a business trip for a night and was very pleasantly surprised. I'm a big camper fan (of their shoe line!) and was thrilled to find a pair of camper slippers to wear in the room during my stay. The rooms are large and spacious, and well laid out. An excellent chair in my room and free...

We spent 4 nights at the Casa Camper and loved it. Such great rooms, and the best part was the 7th floor. It is a restaurant, bar, lounge with food and snacks available all day, no charge. Nothing better than after a day of touring, to be able to come back to the hotel and relax with a drink, coffee,...

we had booked the Weinmeister which is next door but on arrival they told us there were overbooked and wanted to move us off to the hyatt!. We were having none of this and asked to be moved into the casa camper. We had a great one night stay - it is clearly more expensive but we we;re paying. Great...

Picked this hotel for two reasons 1) location and 2) quality of hotel from reviews. The location is perfect - U-Bahn just around the corner and five minutes walk to Hackescher Markt which is full of very nice bars and restaurants. The immediate area around the hotel is full of great shops. The hotel itself is excellent in every respect....

Located right next to a metro station and only 10 minutes walk from one of the more popular stations and areas, Alexanderplatz. Lovely greeting when checking in. The room is very colourful with plenty of open space and ikea like furnishings. Lovely bedding, towels and toiletries. Breakfast is served on the 7th floor with wonderful views over the city to...

We stayed for 6 nights in May. As other reviews have said the staff is outstanding. Helpful, good restaurant suggestions, accommodating of requests. Room was quiet and larger than we expected. Bed was comfy and easy enough to control the room temperature. The location was perfect for us. Could walk to many places but if we wanted to take public...

A great relaxed and cool hotel. The rooms are clean, smart and very functional. We loved the 7th floor area - open 24 hours a day for snacks and drinks, plus great breakfasts in the morning. The staff and service are excellent, warm, welcoming and really helpful. The location is excellent for easy access into the main parts of Berlin...

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
