Visiting my daughter in Berlin, I sought out a hotel with the best reviews in walking distance from her appartment. This was it. The location and style of the hotel are not typically what I would ever seek out, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was efficient and very friendly, the cafe offered good food and the rooms were... More

This hotel is the coolest place I've ever stayed. The staff were absolutely wonderful and all went out of their way to make you feel welcome. I loved their coffee and coconut water . Great location just off the S bahn/U bahn right near the East Side Gallery. The hipster vibe is evident and such a welcome change from standard... More

Loved this place. Stayed for a company off-site where we used the hotel office meeting spaces for our session. Recommended, nice meeting rooms stocked with sweet treats - great. Staying in the hotel itself is an unusual but enjoyable experience. The 'cosy' room really is cosy but comfortable. Recommend the food in the restaurant - terrific. And if you can... More

I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend in one of the hideout rooms. We both really loved our stay here, the location is excellent with U, S and tram stops on the doorstep, and it's a 2 minute walk to the East Side Gallery. The room was by no means big but it was fine for two people,... More

A very cool, hipster boutique style hotel, that captures the current vibe of Berlin, or at least the Berlin we looked for and experienced. The lobby and outdoor courtyard gave a great first impression and were great to relax and grab a craft beer in. The room we stayed in was spacious, had a mezzanine floor and what can only... More

This supercool hotel is made for posing in. Service in the bar is at times a little slow but there's plenty to look at while you're waiting. The rooms are really funky and it is in a great location for exploring the city.

Beautifully designed rooms. Really good food. Lovely cocktails. And the atmosphere is very relaxed and contemporary. I stayed here in 2013 and was blown away by the place. When I returned this summer with some friends, I was concerned a little that I had talked this place up too much. But I hadn't. It was as good as ever -... More

This is definitely the most hipstery hotel I've ever stayed in. But I think that is why it's such a fun, cool place to stay. The lobby is beautiful, with all kinds of neat books to look at. And the bar/cafe is great and they serve great coffee and cocktails. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. Our room was... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights last week. The hotel is very cool, with lots of great design elements, very nice and helpful staff, and a delicious cafe. The location is amazing for a fun weekend in Berlin-- about a block to one end of the East Side Gallery, walking distance to Bargain and other great clubs,... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
