Birthday was ruined due to Covid 19 after 4 of us had planned to stay. Each couple booked separately so contacted the hotel, one couple were refunded and the other couple who's birthday it was were refused both a refund or a change of date.bunfaor and inconsistent treatment will never book with this chain again.

For the money, I don’t think this is worth it. The hotel advertises itself as being in Alexanderplatz, however, although quite close it is a 20 minute walk into the centre of the plaza. We don’t mind a walk so it wasn’t that much of a problem for us but I do think the advertisement is slightly misleading. The hotel is really clean and comfortable. The rooms are adequate and I didn’t have any issues with the house keeping. The beds are very comfortable and clean and the shower was really nice and there was always hot water. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and also the bar seemed to never be open, not sure if that was Covid related or not. In the end we bought some wine from a shop; upon our return to the hotel I asked for a bottle opener to uncork the wine and was told “the bar staff have gone home”. The bar is literally adjacent to reception so I asked if someone could have a look.... the receptionist had a fleeting look but informed me he couldn’t find one.... behind the bar.... literally so disappointing! If we were informed the restaurant and bar were closed before us visiting we could have obviously made adjustments. All in all it was nice, but I don’t think it justifies the price. Also if you want to check in early, it’s a £25 charge per room. The hotel is also located right next to a church (really lovely to look at) but the bells do go off for a very long time early in the morning!

Dear yasmineyvonne , Thank you for drawing our attention to the service at our reception. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on our customer satisfaction and improve our service in the future. Please recognize that we aim to do better. We regret that we did not meet your expectations and we would like to apologize for the rude behavior. I have forwarded your comments to the responsible head of department. We will sensitize our employees again. We are sorry that you felt disrupted about the church bells, please indicate next time that you want to have a room to the quiet inner court. For several weeks now, the Leonardo Hotels website has provided a great deal of general information for our guests regarding the open and closed areas in our hotels. Our restaurant is still closed due to Covid, the bar is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. We would have been happy to provide you with detailed information in advance. The departure time for our guests is until 12:00 o'clock. If possible, we will gladly try to allow guests to check in before 3:00 pm - unfortunately this is not always possible when we are fully booked. We ask for your understanding. The early check-in costs EUR 35 or you will be a member of our Advantage Club then it will be free of charge if availability. We very much hope that you will give us the opportunity to change your impression of us to a positive one during your next stay with us. I would be very happy to make your reservation personally and to convince you of our ever improving commitment to excellent service. Best regards,

This hotel is not an ideal location for a tourist but it is handy to the subway and to Alexander Plaza where there quiet a few shops. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. There were a few restaurants close by as well as a small supermarket. The breakfast buffet was lovely .

We have just returned from four night stay here. We thought the hotel was in an ideal place. The tram stops not far from the hotel and it is only two stops to Alexanderplatz. The transport links in Berlin are superb. The train station is a short distance from the tram stop in Alexanderplatz, which is fantastic. We got the train from the airport which was really easy and convenient, The hotel is large, the reception staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The noise levels weren’t too bad, though we could hear the church bells chiming quite loudly every hour, as it was situated next door We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as the price was quite dear and there were loads of places nearby much cheaper. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment when we were there. We did have a couple of drinks in the bar on a couple of occasions, which were reasonably priced and the bar was very modern with music playing on the tv.s. We ate at the steakhouse restaurant round the corner, La Malvinas, great food and atmosphere. We also ate at SAN Marco Italian restaurant , which was further up the street on the same side as hotel which was my favourite meal. We also ate down in Alexanderplatz, where there was any amount of fantastic places to choose from. We loved our trip to Berlin and thought we made a great choice. with the location of the hotel. The trams run Up and down constantly, making it easy to get around. We got a Berlin card which lasted for 72 hours and we made full use of this. We used the tram, train, underground and even the boat! We explored the city and we also went to the Mercedes Benz arena to see Andre Rieu in concert via the fantastic transport system. Definitely loved the location of this hotel, for us it was just perfect.
