We stayed in a three person room (couch converted to bed) and it was incredibly comfortable. Our room was huge and it had a great massive bathroom. You are incredibly close to everything downtown. We stayed for 5 nights and traveled all across Berlin well...More
Nice hotel situated close to Checkpoint Charlie and 10-15min walk from Brandenburg Gate. I stayed here on a weekend trip in Jan and it was everything that I needed. Good size room, clean and very comfortable. Close to supermarket and restaurants. It is a bit...More
Clean, near the tube and in the center of Berlin. Rooms not so large but nice and comfortable. Shower inside the room with glass shower cubicle. Starbucks very close for breakfast, price reasonable. I would suggest it.
The location of the hotel is great, but I was disappointed with the room and bathroom. Very small with no place for suitcase, difficult to move around. The air conditioner in the room kept going off and it got very stuffy. I talked to the...More

The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

When you pass through customs with your luggage, in the main hall to the right is an information desk for transportation. You can buy a 1/3/5/ day transportation pass which can be used on all buses and trains, including the train from the airport to the center of town. It is easily found, with signs etc. Just ask the person from whom you bought the ticket what stop you get off. You need to change the train once, price included) and on that station there are elevators. The train stop at the hotel is only 100m from the entrance, easy walking distance.

We went by train from the airport to the hotel. The price was included in the 5 day pass we purchased for public transportation at the airport. If you have wheels on your luggage and don't mind using public transport, it is fast and easy. You need to change trains only once, and there are elevators at that station. The hotel is approximately 200m from the train station. You can find it on the map.
