Good location, clean rooms and decent breakfast. We paid180€ each for a room with 4 beds and an en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was not included and a hairdryer required a deposit! I mean come on! I think the biggest issue that most of the staff was unfriendly and the elevator worked every other day. It was fine but guys, a complimentary smile would have been appreciated:)

Went with five friends on may 2018, the rooms are confortable, it's a 15 minute walk from Alexanderplatz, the neighbourhood it's beautifull, the place in general it's beautifull, the breakfast it's cheap and complete, it has a private bar, a phone charging station and the staff speaks at least 3 languages. Really hoping to come back

Setting: couple with baby renting apartment. Changed rooms after one night The good: - modern, clean and stylish rooms - nicely renovated building - cheap and decent breakfast - relatively central and a quiet, residential neighborhood - the rules to keep quiet at 2200 were actually observed, even by the kids on school trips! - we were allowed to change rooms - they bought a new children's bed when we notified them the old was broken The less positive of our first night: - the first room we had, an apartment facing the inner court yard, was too hot - in November! To keep it cool, you needed all windows open and the ceiling fan on, guaranteeing a noisy night - no central air/cooling system - I'm curious how this works out in July ... - the curtains were neither thick enough to keep the light out, ensuring we woke up every time someone took the elevator, nor long enough to have privacy when entering the kitchen in your underwear - the refrigerator was so noisy we had to unplug it - every footstep from the hallway or the floor above was audible, and every time someone let themselves in we could hear the lock system - the price was way too high for what we were getting compared to a hotel (about 90 euro/night) - no shower head. I'd expect a bit more from an apartment - thin mattress and very basic IKEA beds The rest of the stay fared better, as we were allowed to move to a room facing the street. It was no apartment, but it was cooler, had better noise insulation, proper curtains and as it had no kitchen it was slightly more spacious. The room was a bit cheaper per night, but we weren't offered any compensation in any form after that, which I'd normally expect given the circumstances. The room smelled a mix of vinegar and faint smoke, indicating some non-compliant former guests with regards to smoking. Not a big issue. The residential neighborhood isn't exciting or cozy in any way, but it's just 5 mins to the M2, 248 or U5, so it's an ok place to get to other places. Do recommend the Beate Uwe techno club though, just 300 meters away. One annoying feature was that the entrance to use after 2200 leads into a hallway that also serves as a smoking room. Less than thrilled about that and it looks unprofessional to have the staff smoking when guests arrive. I don't think the place is terrible, but it's not that good either. I'd rate it at 2,5 stars from our experience, but given that the last breakfast had some nice cakes I'm ok with 3.

My friend and I had a pleasant stay here in a 4 bed room, it was very clean and we had a large locker for our backpacks which was handy. The staff were friendly and it felt very secure with a keycard to get in most doors. However, it didn’t seem very social as the bar seemed to very quiet and there wasn’t any events happening or anything like that. Also, although it is about a 10 minute walk from Alexanderplatz, it was about 40 mins from the cheaper areas further into town and it was very tucked away in a residential area. Otherwise it was a nice hostel but clearly is suited more for solo travellers.

Stayed here for 3 nights in June 2018. I really liked it. Friendly staff. Happy hour is €1.50 a beer. Clean Hot water Soap provided at shower+sink Power point at each bed locker provided (bring your own lock, of course) 10 min walk to Alexanderplatz. There is a supermarket about 150m away which has everything including cheap water, bananas etc Also, there is a bakery attached. There is a place you can grab a Currywurst next to supermarket, too. I think it was €3.80 with fries. I met some really awesome people here in only 3 days... I would stay again no problem.
