This is a real gem of a find. Great spot within Rothenburg by the side of the museum. A place with character and we loved it. Fabulous room - low ceilings and a separate area for tv and relaxing. Nice bathroom with corner bath. Great food - you won't aways have a table to yourself at breakfast - we enjoyed...

Our niece was determined to stay here based on reviews, pics and stories of the hobbits that live here. This place most certainly has a magical feel. They only way I can think to describe it would be something you would find at Disneyland, but its actually real. The rooms are very large and the old beams that make up...

We booked this hotel via their website and arrived during dinner, which was a bit hectic as the lady checking us in was serving food, but she was wonderful, giving us our roomkey & a key to their personal garage for my car before disappearing back into the restaurant. The room itself was beautiful, with great timbers on the ceiling...

The two of us were put up in what we think is the family room, as it had two bedrooms (we only used one). We arrived and had to call the number on a sign that took us a while to notice in order to let the proprietor know we were there. He came and showed us to our room,...

Our kids called this one the doll house. And beware if you're taller than 5' 10' you will feel like a giant in this room (my husband hit his head on the door frames 14 times in two days). However, it all fit into the charm of the entire town. We had two large rooms and a sitting area, and...

We stayed here just one night in their triple room. On the plus side, this hotel is well-located within the city walls but parking is difficult. The owner had to move his car for ours to have a space. There isn't a lobby so it's a bit confusing where you check in and the woman who finally did how us...

This hotel is essentially just a handful of rooms above an atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Rothenburg. It gives you the sense of the era of Rothenburg but with all the modern comforts you might look for in any hotel today. Our room was perfect, with plenty of space. It overlooked a walled in yard with trees, and the...

We booked room no. 1, the Studio, and were not disappointed at all. For a couple of Euros extra, you can have this fantastic romantic room. A definite yes when we are visiting Rothenburg again.

Stayed here two nights after reading a review from Rick Steve's 2012 Germany book. Very interesting mix of romantic-antique-farmhouse with a touch of real old charm. Carmen met us at our car to help us find our way through the streets of Rothenburg then helped us with our luggage up two flights of stairs. After we went into the city...

Had 2 triple rooms for 6 people. What communications we had with staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were both nice and clean and while updated still retained that old fashioned atmosphere with big timbered ceiling and nice decor. No elevator and narrow stairs. Also on Tuesday nights, the only night we were there the restaurant was closed. They also...
