Such fabulous ambiance, and a wonderfully lovely place to call home for a few days! Our little band of 6 adults -- 3 couples each celebrating anniversaries-- couldn't have found a more romantic spot to spend the night. Very close to town square & Kathe Wohlfahrt's for some wonderful shopping. We were even there -- completely he accident -- on... More

If you want to stay in a very unique place then you have found it! It is a very old building that has been made into a small, boutique style hotel. It is much as I would imagine a nice hobbit hole aught to be. The outside is very quaint, with vines growing over the facade. The inside is a... More

Snobs, plan and simple. We came in under The recommendation on Google and trip Advisor. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a frown and they promptly stated they were full. We looked around to see plenty of spots to sit that were open and not reserved. With as friendly as everyone else is in town, you... More

If you want to experience dinner like a hobbit, this is the place. Cozy, rustic and medieval amazing environment to enjoy an authentic German meal and beir. Yes the rooms are a bit dated, the owners as other reviewers stated are a bit rough on the edge. In my opinion if you are open to other cultures and actually have been... More

The rooms were clean but as others have stated the decor is huge hodge-podge. We checked in around 2:00 in the afternoon and asked if there was a place to eat nearby they could recommend. The answer was "the restaurant opens at 6:00". We had been on trains since early in the morning and waiting until 6:00 was not an... More

This hotel is in a very old part of the city, a ten minute walk from the center, in a stone building almost swallowed by its ivy. It is quirky and quaint. Prepare to have your entrance into the dark foyer almost blocked by a dusty piano laden with objects of old. We found the accommodations to be too dark,... More

We have stayed in Rothenburg three times previously and the last time we ate at this fantastic little hotel and I promised myself we would stay if we came back again! It is a bit of a walk from the marketplace where all the groups and crowds are - but, with the windows open and the only sounds are the... More

The decorations were extraordinary. Breakfast was sufficient with satisfactory range of choices. The style of the hotel would be described as magical. Location is fair. It took a 25-minute walk from the train station, Rothenburg ob Tauber.

We stayed for 5 Nights in this Incredible hotel. Great rooms (2 room suite) With autentic antique interior. Very fast internet and a large flatscreen TV. To walk into this hotel is like walking into a fairytale. This is a hidden gem, that you will not find in the hotel-listings of the town. It is not rated With any stars,... More

We stayed here in June 2016. We were traveling with our two teenage daughters and rented two rooms close to one another. This is a very old building with winding hallways, lots of decorations, and dark lighting (candlelight downstairs). Somehow, however, the rooms are of very nice size with plenty of room to move within. The owner was very kind... More
